Kera foehunter:

i like the old school lizzard army i like the breeding pool is the just pva gluein the pool ??

wallacer:

It’s woodland scenics artificial water.

If you’re planning on using it, make sure you varnish the paint before you put the artificial water on top of it.

Uzkul Werit:

Pygmies!?! Oh yes! Where did you get those guys from?

Hammerhand:

Yes! those little head hunter dudes are AWESOME!

wallacer:

They’re old Games Workshop figures.

I use them as Skink Scouts and animal handlers for my Salamanders.

Willmark:

Pygmies wow haven’t seen those in ages! Just how old are you Wallacer? I bet you ran the stock out of all of the pet shops in town for that much foliage? Fish tank stuff I assume? Is so well done.

wallacer:

Just how old are you Wallacer? ;)

Willmark
I recently celebrated the 13th anniversary of my 21st

Surprisingly, I actually still have quite a bit of that aquarium foliage left.

Take Wallacers advice and use the Woodland Scenics artificial water its expensive but pva dosen't always dry the whole way through so to make it clear you have to do layer after layer so it dries. I found that depending on how much I used it could warp polystrene (I'm a cheapskate so I use poly boxes from fruit shops that don't want them). Basically using the woodland scenics artificial water will save you alot of hassle I wish I could show you my experiments but they were broken in a move I made reciently and I didn't take any pictures so you'll have to trust me on this.

Wallacer you put my painting to shame :cheers I love the vintage models. Lizardmen was the army I was going to choose because I thought converting CD's and using old rules would be too hard. All you guys have proven me wrong. The subdued paint sceme works so well in the lustria environment, would never have thought of it. Such a good idea

wallacer:

I think GW also make artificial water, so that could be an option as well

Willmark:

Wallacer that is too funny we are the same age. Elders of the site eh?

Kera foehunter:

Wallacer did you make the pymes.or are they some brand name figures

Willmark:

They are actual GW figures. Pygmies used to be an allied contingent in 3rd edition days. rumors were that they were canceled for reason of the rise of Political Correctness in the late 80’s early 90’s. If you look at the figs you can see why, huge lips, etc… the illustrations were much the same in the army book.

Kera foehunter:

thank willmark

AGPO:

So the pygmies became the halflings, because small white and fat with big lips is okay :stuck_out_tongue:

The classic skins on cold ones look awesome! Do you use a southlands army?

what? WHAT? Speak up, dadnabbit...

Willmark
That would certainly be my guess. I think political correctness has had a huge impact on GW, actually.
Do you use a southlands army?

AGPO
I have done, although I normally don't (as I can't field my beloved Carnosaur).

AGPO:

True the Carnosaur is an awesome model. Roll on the day I can collect a Skeggi army with a lord riding one of those beasties. So many ideas on hold due to price rises

GRNDL:

Dang, I’m jealous of your pygmies. Talk about a blast from the past! I still have flashbacks to the old Lustria models. I seem to recall lobotomized human slaves in the Slann army as well, before they were melded with the Lizardmen.
