Just wondering as I haven’t seen it before.

Shakhorth:

Well I don’t remember the history of the model.

But seen it go as high as £15 for one.

furrie:

If I remeber correct, it is a never released chaos dwarf warrior.

nitroglysarine:

I think furrie is right. he’s one of the 2HW guys they didn’t release in big numbers (online store only of something like that)

Pyro Stick:

They arent unreleased as most ebay sellers try to make you believe to get the price up, they just had a limited release in america.

edit: Forgot to give you a value. $4.99 is actually a very good deal. I think i got mine for £13.99 for 2 but they have probably gone up since then. Its hard to value these because these are the models that so many recasts are based on and for some reason the fakes go for a lot of money. I would say the originals should be worth £10 each at most.

zhatan87:

This is one of the US big hat…

I’m disgusted, this price is very low… I try to get one, and can’t find one below 10 ,… (9£) I should be on ebay every time…:frowning:

Necrotique:

Thanks for the help guys

I picked up both of them within minutes of it being uploaded as I didn’t know what they were and hadn’t seen them before.

I’d be willing to sell one of them, but it’ll take a while for them to get here and I don’t know if the shipping would be worth it as opposed to buying them off eBay when they next appear. I’d be happy to sell one to someone else on here though. It’d probably be most cost-effective to only ship to someone else in Australia though.

:cheers

gIL^:

They were planned for a warhammer quest expansion that never happened.

Released on the US GW website only in the 90’s. So pretty rare.

Here’s one I’m painting right now.

i have never seen them in their packaging before, That is really cool!

Necrotique:

I haven’t received them yet so I’m wondering what the seller’s playing at :frowning:

I’ll let you guys know when I do though - sorry about this.

aka_mythos:

When I’ve sent packages to New Zealand, from the US, I’ve always been told to allow 3 to 5 weeks for delivery. I’m assuming he’s using surface mail, since his international S&H is so low. So even assuming he sent it out the same day and got you the basic shipping… you’d still have 2 days at best… 16 days at worse.

Grazhnakk:

I have one of each pose of that series. I bought them via GW Mail Order around 1999/2000. It was explained to me then by the Mail Order Troll that they were test sculpts done by the studio exploring a way to make smaller hats still fit in with the big hats. There are also two models with big hats of the same pose. You occasionally see them show up on ebay - I didn’t realize there were test sculpts in that series with both big and semi-big hats until a couple of years ago when I stumbled on an ebay lot. I think I spent an embarrassing amount of money on that one. :hashut

This would be right about the time GW cancelled the CD line. My local store actually sold all their stock to their GW rep who wanted them personally. I had been considering starting a CD army, and that sealed it: I spend an entire weekend scouring every local store and bought out their entire stock. It’s been an unstoppable obsession ever since.

Necrotique:

For those hanging out for me to post it, I don’t think it’s going to happen as I never received the models - though I did get a full refund.

Not happy about it though. Apparently it was lost in postage so I’m not too annoyed as the seller was co-operative after I opened a case, but upset that I won’t get my two CDs.
