Hi All,
I’m looking for advice I�?Tm going to a Tournament in February 2,600 pts.
The local meta is heavy with Skaven players and I�?Tve had a couple of practice games and I’m having a problems beating the Skaven net list - some of my biggest problems are as follows:
1. Gutter runners one unit always ambushes behind my warmachines;
2. skitters leap engineer with initiative grenade, which kills my Iron Daemon every time;
3. Multiple casting of wither on my K�?TDaii Destroyer which kills it in one magic phase.
This is the typical list local meta takes:
1 grey seer in bunker
1-2 engineers
1 Lord with Fellblade
1 A-bomb
3 blocks of slaves of 40-50
2-3 rat darts
2x6 Gutterrunners
1 regiment of plaugemonks
1 regiment of stormvermin
2 warp lightning cannon
1 Doomwheel
The Tournament is full End Times and no comp.
As I�?Tm trying to bring a all comers list, However I still need to recognise that the local meta is Skaven heavy.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

HAHAHAHA, I might just bring one tub and put it on the side of the table!!!
Anyone, able to provide some advice on dealing with aSkaven Net-List.

and maybe a few centaurs if some points remain
you deploy in a corner so the gutter can’t go behind your lines to get the warmachines. I don’t think the skaven will be happy to take Ld test with no malus, -1, -3 or -4!
The fellblade guy and the grey seer should be easy to snipe with 2 spirit Leach and the other death snipes. the first one is likely to be in range because he’ll come in combat (and he has no ward save :D) while the second one need also a middle range to throw some spells so the death spells’ range won’t be a problem.
I would try to shoot at anything outside the Ld bubble at the beginning (starting with gutter runner because their shoot can be annoying) and then destroy skaven’s canons. The iron deamon can easily deal with hellpit/doomwheel in by shooting and any infantry in combat!

Pretty much what spencer said. Since we have access to hell cannons which are twice as accurate as normal and lore of death we should really take advantage of the leadership game casting doom and darkness on the general or wizard bunker and panicing it if not on the first turn likely the second.Additionally rockets will go a long way against them with the infer al incendary rounds capable of ruining entire rat units. sneak in the banner of eternal flame onto your infernal guard for the hellpit and position your hellcannons onto both flanks of your infernal guard so they can counter charge it next turn.
For target priority I would use the hellcannons to attempt to panic the general or wizard off the board if doom or darkness is up if not then go for the warplightning cannons.
Use rhe rockets to take out the doomwheels monks and stormvermin. hobs wirh bows should take aim at the abom trying to pick off a few wounds.
khans should chaff monks and stormvermin when appropriate or you could hold them behind your lines and use them to take out those ambushers which thwy can do with a spear and a 3+ save however hobfoblin bowmen can likely yeild similar results with a lucky round of shooting.

I play skaven probably better than chaos dwarfs.
Corner is good, hellcannon to the open side. Stay behind and take out the main regiment with shooting. Threaten with your destroyer or iron demon but dont jam it in slaves, only to press him to concentrate his shooting on them. I like to put them in charging position and then you charge only if its a good charge for you. <br>Hobgoblin wolf riders would be great to get around to the warp lightning cannons. Its diificult for him to block out fast cavalry completely.
Fell blade and Magic. Decide what spells to dispel: A warp lightning normally is not the problem. Skitterleap is. Death frenzy is. Think of his warp tokens and take dispel scroll and scepter of stability. Take death magic on a flyer (charmed shield ?) and try to snipe his fell blade (ld 7) and the sorcerers. If you have several sniping spells you will probably get one through every turn. Thats the game winner, lost some tournament games with skaven through this shit ;-).
Slaves can`t really hurt your regiments. Concentrate on the other stuff.
