[Archive] Where are these "fenders" from?

Andersp90:

Hello everyone (again ;))

I can see that I am just missing one part before I can start to build my “Mechanical fire taurus”.

I have made a ring around two “fenders” on the pic bellow. Can anyone of you identify the parts for me? Or are they custom made?

I have found all other parts used to build it. And they are not custom. So thats why I kinda think they too can be found somewhere.

Thx in advance, Anders.

the unheard one:

i think they may be custom pieces. and i can’t wait to see your work

Thommy H:

Looks like pieces from an old Ork Warbuggy to me.

Now I can get started. Cant wait. ^^

Oh, BTW , do you know where these tracks are from? I was told that they where custom.

tjub:

From an Imperial Guard Chimera I guess…

tjub:

Sure the trackas are Imperial or atleast they were, I was thinking about the “wheels”…

Andersp90:

So the wheels that drives the tracks are hidden behind the armour?

Arashi:

This should give you some explications…

Yes, on an Imperial tank.

Hrothgar Goldgreed:

Rather than use the supplied tracks I wanted to do something different which would make the Wartrakk look different to the others in my army. Using some old Imperial wheels and tracks (which I got in a Gorkamorka Gubbinz bag and had already glued together) I cobbled two tracks using three wheels. The tracks were a bit rubbish as they were broken as I broke them from the original scratchbuild tracks for a model that I really never started.

Found within two clicks of Arashi's link :hat off
And I don't even care about 40k! ;)
