[Archive] Why charge to mount on an iron daemon?

dromar:

The carrying rules aren’t so attractive for the moment 'cause warmachines carried can’t fire if the demon engine has moved and if it want to let on of is chariot behind, this on can’t fire this turn. So first round: moove, no fire.

2nd round: warmachines are let behind: no fire. Fire only turn1, that not so interesting IMHO.

In addition, if the demon engine is locked in CC, it cannot detach his chariots and they can’t fire…

snowblizz:

Reminds me of the FW for was it the Trojan which could pull artillery. Not particularly effective in a 6 turn game when you burned turns with limbering/unlimbering.

Grimstonefire:

I presumed you could detatch whilst in combat if only the iron daemon is attacked?

The Iron Daemon may ?~uncouple?T its carriages (either the rearmost

or both, but not a ?~middle?T one obviously) at the start of any of its

Movement phases, leaving them behind. The Iron Daemon may go

on to act normally but the steam carriage model counts as moving

that turn.
