Okay, proof of life is followed up by proof of motivation.
As per last post, this fellow was on my desk this week and is now finished:
A Death Guard Centurion for Horus Heresy.
The intention is to use him as a Siege Breaker Consul if I ever run a list that needs it, but since he’s a bit less fancy than the officer I’ve already painted he could also serve as a regular Centurion if the need arises.
Original credit for the conversion idea goes to user Kisada11 on Reddit. The base model is a 40k Chaos Warpsmith with the tentacles removed, and part of a backpack inserted where some of them came out of the backpack. I also used a head off the Heresy Command sprue, and a bolt pistol rather than the plasma pistol. Finally, I replaced some of the extra exhausts on the backpack with antennae to give him a less Chaos-y feel, in case I want to run him as a loyalist.
Not much to write home about in terms of painting, it’s mostly Wraithbone primer and Gunship Green. I did almost no highlighting, preferring to let the weathering and final wash do the work.
One off the pile.
