I stole some time here and there over the last week to build and paint most of the Adeptus Arbites kill team I mercurially added to the pile - mostly to ensure that I would have enough parts on hand to build the Heresy Militia units I wanted out of the kit, while not sacrificing my ability to build a functioning kill team.
I also decided I wouldn’t put in too much effort, so these are done almost entirely in Slapchop:
- Black primer
- Drybrush GW Rakarth Flesh
- Drybrush Army Painter Spaceship Exterior
- Paint the armour & fatigues in AP Cloudburst Blue
- Paint the skin with GW Darkoath Flesh
- Paint the belts and batons with GW Wyldwood
- Paint the weapons and visors with GW Blood Angels Red
- Paint the gloves and boots with GW Athonian Camoshade, then GW Ork Flesh
- Paint the hair with Skeleton Horde
- Paint the shoulder armour with AP Hoplite Gold
- Paint other metals with Vallejo Steel
- Pop some washes on and pick out any details I missed.
I took some philosophy from Tabletop Minion’s Stop Painting So MUCH video on this one.
I have 8 more dudes to build, and am considering what loadout I’ll give them, but it will probably have to wait until after my hospital stay.
