I feel your pain, I also underestimated the time and work involved to convert them…but I’m very interested in seeing you finishing them, they look pretty cool. Sorry you couldn’t make it, they are a worthy entry to be sure.

One entrant’s uploading of pictures in the PM went awry for some reason. We’ll wait for him to retry and get his pictures in properly via one channel or another before launching the voting thread. I’ll be back to check on it after work, so earliest this evening.

Isn’t that the case for anyone here who has an army blog AND entered a few contests? I know i ususally guess about half of tne entries right.
Thats why it would be funny to have a comp where you have to paint a model in someone elses style. 
it would be difficalt to decide the winner though…

Thats always been the case, and half the fun! Maybe even more so in the old days where everybody had a unique take on the conversions before Tamurkhan and all the 3rd parties.
We should definitely have one with X model of the new range when it drops, that would be a cool celebration!

everyone getting the same model and painting someone else’s style?
We could compile a list of users to pick from, who have at least some models posted as reference material. Then when the competition starts everyone who wants to join either picks a user, or messages the GH account and gets a random one sent to them.
But how would you vote it.
Maybe have people send in two names for each entry, the suspected painter and who he/she is immitiating. Then tally the votes. The entry with the least correct suspected painter and the most correct immitation votes wins.
But again, im not quite sure thats a valid and balanced way to score it.

This would be like Golden Hat #1 - convert your own battle for skull pass model
Thing is that was a time when WHFB was the only game in town and those models were positively ubiquitous. May be hard to get everyone to agree on a same model that will fit everyones army.
It would need to be something cheap to buy or basically free to print. I’d happily help supply people with an agreed printed model in the latter case.
