As I’m gearing up to run a Frostgrave campaign at the club, I’m filling in the complete Random Encounters table as such. And managed to finish some figures, love the calmer nightshifts now the weather is getting better and common colds are no longer things appearing at emergency services…
The bear and frogs are from WizKids, while the armoured frog, who will serve as an Imp, is from Northumbrian

I can hardly bear? all these frogs hoping about… 
Especially the armored one! HE’S RIBBITRIFIC! I did some DnD minis for a campaign years ago and found a group of toy frogs that were like $2 bucks in the cheap toy aisle of a Dollar General Store or something of that sort… Painted them up and I think they came out ok… I admit though, your frogs are pretty stylin’… Found shots of my frogs for reference. Thought you’d enjoy seeing them… P

Something totally different in painting style, this weekend I’m running an event for One Page Rules spaceship rules, Warfleets FTL.
Which needs of course some objective markers for the custom scenario’s I wrote up (it’s a 5 game narrative linked thing, not a tournament, with 300pts fleets), and the budget to make them was ZERO.

Curious who will pick up that plain looking ring though, doesn’t seem valuable at all.
More Forstgrave related stuff was purchased this month, as I picked up a blister of my favorite school, the Illusionist, from a bargain bin at 6 euro.
Another entry for the Frostgrave Random Encouter table finished, as the Armoured Skeletons (25+ years old Clan wars metal figures) got a paintjob (at last?)
Time for a little spaceship to be added to the finished painted models for this month, with a Thetys Cutter from Agents of Gaming, for the Babylon 5 setting.

As the thermometer hits 37 degrees in the mornings under my painting lamp, past cooler night was spend on finishing some more entries for the Frostgrave Random Encounter table: Zombies and a Medium Construct
Sunday finally was the first day not sweltering away in 30+ degrees, so we got some good painting time in on a variety of models.
The first things completed are all spaceships: Type F shuttles from Star Trek and Puddlejumpers from Stargate, both to serve as bomber squadrons for the Warfleets ruleset by One Page Rules.
Next, a Delphi scout and it’s Starfury wing for use in Mongoose’s Publishing’s A Call to Arms set.
And finally some more entries to fill out the complete Frostgrave random encounters table, with bot a Snow Leopard from Northstar Miniatures, and 4 Shrewzerkers from Oathsworn’s Burrows and Badgers range to serve as Giant “Rats”…

They took 3 shades of bronzes and golds from Vallejo, then a thick and dirty Coat D’Arms “Super Wash Green” to get the desired effect
They are ready! As I’m starting preparations for the World Championships of Warhammer in Barcelona at the beginning of december (the good thing being amongst the first qualifiers back in march), I painted the one and only warband I just must take along.
No matter what the meta and such nonsense says at that time, as Hashut will guide my dicerolls, the Blood of the Bull will be the warband I shall be playing there.
Now, I have half a year (and probably one or two FAQ’s) the time to find and tune a deck to go with them, the first try-out will be already next week at a local tournament. So expect a little report beginning of next week on how it went…
We continue to paint on the Age of Sigmar side of the collection, as I signed up for a tournament at the club at the end of november. Meaning I need to get 2k painted up (I’m at around 500 at the moment…) AND it will only be my actual 2nd game ever of AoS.
But, details, as I know Hashut will bless me.

Bit of painting done before the next heatwave is about to strike Belgium. An “ashen giant” aka Stumblefoot Giant Regiment of Renown adds some hilarious drunken muscle to the Helsmiths force.

An online retailer in The Netherlands did a stocksale, adding an additional 25% on top of the 20% for GW stuff… so at -45%, I immediatly swooped in to grab every Helsmiths of Hashut box he had in the listing, and received them three days later already!
In between the strokes of heat hitting western europe, some models did get finished for mostly Frostgrave (albeit, that snow shall be quickly melting). A genie and his lamp for our next scenario game evening, a steppe goblin (aka, Hobgoblin) Shaman to become the apprentice in the Chaos Dwarf warband I’m building, and a small construct for the encounter table.
Furthermore, continuing the tradition of adding a model to honor those I defeated with my Dawi’Zharr, the first one resulting from the Crypts of Halle tournament has finished, a Nighthaunt painted in the scheme (but in “my style”) of my opponent’s Headsmen’s Curse warband
Following some more decent temperatures after the heatwave, I managed to finally complete some models the past night.
First up is a unit of Razers with Blunderbuss (many more to follow of those, I love them) for the Helsmiths of Hashut.
While to round out the victories obtained at the Halle Underworlds tournament recently, two more models where added to my “trophy” unit, one of a Git (after beating the Looncourt) and one of a wight (for the Sons of Velmorn).
