“Multiple big hats on the same wearer have no additional effect”
No but it looks awesome
Great work Jasko…and Justus?
Really splendid job you did here. A lovely “what if?” Exercise but also a great resource for friendly games with the right kind of people who embrace fan content for forgotten races!
Haha, I’ll change it in v0.92 to “no additional effect beyond looking fucking sick” or something.
Thanks mate, much appreciated! I’ll pass your kind words on to Justus. Putting it together was much more fun than I anticipated beyond the “Uhmmm I guess I’d like to have rules for a Destroyer” or so.
I will confess, I don’t know a lot about TOW (only played a handful of games), so I might be missing something obvious: but of the forces, the “Subjugation force” is the one where I think there’s the biggest disconnect between mechanics and flavor. It feels like the theme is going towards steam carriages and war machines… which is great! but also on CDs and Taurus.
So, while using “subjugation” as a major umbrella makes sense, I think it would benefit from dialing it in. Maybe make it an “engineering / daemonsmith” army (maybe have access to a cannon?) , or a “convoy guard”?
No other big notes, really. If you’re adding a bunch of units, I don’t see the harm in adding some smaller (non-renderer) BC, but that’s just optional.
That’s a good point about the Subjugation Force. To be honest - I didn’t think too much about the name I just wanted an Army of Infamy where the actual Dwarf units are your troops and which also allows going all in on armoured convoy units. It’s a bit of a catch-all situation, allowing two Destroyers or even full Bull Centaur army, that’s why I went for something kind of generic
I had the profile for the smaller Bull Centaurs already done, but they didn’t really excite me. While I could of course just add them, I wanted to limited myself to the scope the other Arcane Journals have. With 7 new units and 3 Named Characters it would already be tied in first place with most new units added
