What happened to Fabelzel?

There’s quite a few links in this thread. What link are you referring to? I don’t think there’s been anything new linked to this thread in over a year…

Google drive link.

Would anyone be able to post a fixed google drive link? I’ve started on a chaos dwarf printing project and I’d love to have the stl’s from Fabelzel

Hello, everyone. Sorry if this is considered a necro, but do we have any idea what happened to the Google drive link that had all the Fabelzel stuff? I’m brand new to chaos dwarves and I would love to get an army of them on the table!

I’m in the same boat! Stumbled onto his work, can’t imagine using any other Chorfs

Fabelzel decided to take his work offline. GW has hit a few creators with C&D lately and Zel understandably does not want to get caught up in this. Maybe he’ll decide to bring the models back at a later point, we just don’t know.

There are some nice alternatives out there. You might find remixes by Max152 or get the models by Brawniac. They are very good.

Also Tom Wiggins has some 4th edition style CD models. You can get a lot of the main units by Fabelzel by just using the remixes by Max152 though.

Maybe Im being cynical here but could it be that since he announced they’ll be releasing the models in metal, having them readily available would detract from potential sales?

Fabelzel has actually removed himself from the partnership with bogwyrm for the same reasons. He’s not preventing us from casting and selling, just as he allows others with a license to print and sell his work, however he will no longer be profiting from the sales.

Believe me this was not what anyone wanted and I hope to get him back on board before we go live. I appreciate everyone’s patience as I work things out between fabz, nero, and the wyrm.

Yeah we as a community know fabz. The man is NOT a profiteer. His entire approach to the range prevented that from the off. You can chill, it’s not that deep. Creators like him in rule-of-law countries are worried about being sued, that’s all.
