Khaz-gurad

I have been into dwarves/dwarfs of all types since first playing Dungeons and Dragons in High School.  After that I picked up tabletop gaming as a hobby I made sure to collect a dwarf army for whatever game I started playing.

I started 40k in 2nd when the Squats got “Squatted” so I played the next best race, Orks.  I started playing WFB at the beginning of 6th edition and took up Dwarfs as my army of choice (naturally).  Looked at doing Chaos Dwarfs at the time but they pretty much got “Squatted” as well (sensing a theme here?).  I dallied with Beastmen also in 6th ed. and that is when my interest was piqued with evil armies. During this time there were (and still are) avid Chaos Dwarf champions in the tourney circle that made an unofficial tournament legal Army book with a cover of a fan made art featuring a color scheme that struck a chord with me. I would come back to it and put it on an army later on. When?  I didn’t know.

With the end of WFB going into AoS I jumped into the newer armies (Fyreslayers and eventually Kharadron Overlords). I remembered that towards the end of WFB that there was a redesign of the Chaos Dwarfs through Forgeworld with the Tamurkhan book (no more big hats). The Forgeworld items were a bit expensive comparatively at the time but through much time saving up and buying a force piecemeal.  I got into the bull centaurs, foot troops, and heroes.  There is a hero mounted on a bale Taurus that was a bit out of my reach at the time(2 years ago) so I looked into the great winged Halfbreed by Mantic.  It was a bargain and a great sculpt (hefty too!). I have been at it again and again painting these abyssal dwarfs and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon!
