Hello fellow zharrs! i´ve been a huge Chaos Dwarfs fan forever and finally I´m gonna start working on a 5th edition army. I´ll be posting some wips in the near future but for now here you have my army plan and some color schemes. Have a nice day!

Hi there and welcome to the forums… Your sketches are super cool, I love that sniper you envisioned! I’ve been working for the good of several years now on and off on painting an army. The result has created periods I guess I go through, where I have an idea, and then it develops into something else. Lately, I’ve tried to conjeal that into a final vision of sorts, and I decided on a few things. These might help you too:
- I think all the models should have some element of commonality between them. In my case, blue armor seems to be the unifying common element.
- Maybe a back story or a special circumstance led the groups to have different colors. In my case, I’m trying to explore the idea of “Houses” that have certain features; beard colors, hat colors, colors of caste or profession f. ex.
- I wouldn’t go nuts in terms of too wide of a palate; I’m trying for ex. to keep it to two / three schemes at first at best. Limited palates tend to also be useful when having to work through multiples of core troops etc. (I suck at that btw - I’m really having to work on that in this project…)
I wish I had more to offer, but those are my best three at least.

Thank you so much for your advices! My main army will be purple and I have established some schemes for the different hierarchies.
Regular troops: Purple clothing with purple hat.
Chaos Lords: PUrple clothing with ivory hat.
Priests: Ivory clothing with purple hats.
Then with this as a base I will go with different twists. Astragoth is wearing a death ceremonial black hat by his own demand. He sees himself as part of the realm of death. Zhatan is wearing black armor for obvious reasons. Gorduz will be full gold (i´m not sure about this), but I want to push that lucky little bastard feeling.
