the obsidian blade is useless… whats the point of destroying armor if you ignore it anyway?
take a strength booster like the hammer or even just a GW… this lord is not a combat king…
i’d drop the standards on your BB units and the LA and shields on the hobbo unit…
not sure about the Black gem either…

the points saved could get you a wolfboy unit to help support your lonely lord…

ErikinWest:

I agree about the obsidian blade. Perhaps you might want to add a musician and possibly a standard for your BC? It adds +1 CR, and you might even need to flee, in which case a musician is helpful. However, I think you should keep your standard for the BB.

Cheers,

Erik

Ghrask Dragh:

Thanks for the comments guys (forgot about this thread! sorry)

I have made a few changes, at the moment I have 30pts to spare.

If I took the LA and shields away from the h.goblins I would have 70, would Wolf-riders be a good move? I have seen Uzkul use the taurus to great effect on its own, is that only against certain armies or would the extra support be a good idea?

Uzkul Werit:

Oh, I’m not that good. blushes

It’s always a good idea to give something for the foe to shoot at instead of the Great Taurus as he is rather fragile. I’ll never forget the time mind was Foot of Gorked into the ground. I’m not even sure that you could get 10 Wolfboyz for 70pts. Although if you dropped the Staff of Sorcery you could get ten of them with a Musician but that’d be it. Perhaps just adding to the Bull Centaur unit would be a good idea instead? They are only just slightly less speedy.

Colzey:

Save 40pts by droping the GW’s from your warriors for starters i reackon. Also the obvious one would be to trade the staff of sorcery mage for a CD Hero and make him your general to control all those Ld6 greenies while your Lord is out there having fun. Muso’s work a treat for BB, Standards are just screaming out easy pts for the opponent. Any points left over maybe boost the BB units to 17-18.

Cheers,

Matty

Ghrask Dragh:

Thank you for the advise guys! :cheers

I have revised the above army list and I now ask again for C&C

Uzkul Werit:

Can’t argue with that. Nice seeing the Banner of Slavery get a test drive too.

Malificant:

may i just add that it is a little unsportsmanlike to determine how you will group your hobbos per opponent. your list should really be set up as a take all comers. i would say put those 95 hobs into 4 squads of 25, dont determine before the battle. just pointing out some may find it rude, and tournaments wont allow it.

Ghrask Dragh:

Its a fair point, I would definetly try something like that for some people but the couple of games I’ve had have not been against those people. eg. Dwarfs stood still whole game just shooting with thunderers, cannon, flame thrower and goblin hewer. I will try and avoid some of those players but when I can’t I will use the h’gobs how I like. I have no interest in playing in tournies and such, not too serious about tatics and all that, as long as I have a list that could win every now and again I’m happy!
