A Blog for the Little Guys

Hey everyone. I’ve been collecting and playing chaos dwarfs since ravening horde times.
I have a fully painted big hat army from back in the day but now I’m finally working my dream army from when I was kid.

Boring part of filing done I’ve gone ahead and magnetised the lot.

I’m going for a nice old school feel so I tried my hand at sculpting some OnG inspired shields.

Then finally started painting a couple of these lads. First time at nmm, a lot of fiddling around. After another 50 I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it.

That’s it for now!

That must have cost a fair bit.

Have you thought about making a relief mould?

I.e. cover one of the finished shields in a thin layer of vaseline. Cover the whole shield in green stuff. Including the sides.

Let it dry and hopefully get the shield out

Then wash it etc, then put a little bit of vaseline in the mould, then put a little greenstuff on a shield and press it in.

The nmm looks great btw.

I really want to have a go at nmm on the new models, but CD army only a small part of my future plans so I can’t be bothered to spend the time.

24+ years of collecting have produced this but yeah, minis ain’t cheap.

Not sure about the shields, it’s quite fun doing them. If there’s one I’m super happy with then I’ll replicate it.

I’ve got everything for casting/molding and have plans for extra swivel guns, bazookas and certain weapons/helms.
