The female dwarf is from Reaper Miniatures named Margara made by Werner Klocke

and the Bull Centaur Body is from Impact Miniatures

I really like them!

Kera foehunter:

she is one of the best female dwarf figure !!!

Astranagant:

Well Mordheim was a dismal failure, due to my gaming group mostly.  While my Slaver Squad performed admirably, with the Cowtaur and Sorcerer taking center stage (honourable mention goes to the Engine of Chaos and it’s many rolls on the “Out of Control” table, only half of our group enjoyed playing.  The elder grognards of the group were of a more strategic bent and did not enjoy the “rpg” elements of Mordheim.

Still, my CDs will see the table in another form, with a different ruleset designed for mass battle.

I will be filling the ranks with different sorts of figures…

Gelli:

sad to hear that about you’re Mordheim group :frowning: nothing worse than a bunch of rules lawyers :stuck_out_tongue:

Like the seamlessness of that bull centaur, best conversions are the ones that require effort to figure what has been changed. Any other place you can play with you’re Mordheim gang? Would be unforuntunate if you had to pack it away for good, thought at least it will get another Chaos Dwarf army in the world

Oh it's not so much that they're rules lawyers, it's just that they're used to playing glorified Chess games (Armati, DBx) and other more abstract small scale games (Dirtside, Starmada). Mordheim probably won't get played again 'til I move elsewhere.

Astranagant:

Now for something a bit different…

Behold! A new set of painted Night Goblins that are fully compatible with Warhammer Fantasy as well as azure_bluu’s new fantasy ruleset. I’ll be trying out the new movement trays (8" wide with unlimitted depth) tomorrow, perhaps. They are being goaded forward by their Chaos Dwarf overlords atop their Mobile Oppression Platform (or Hill Giant).

On their way in the mail I’ve got 60 more Night Goblins, 20 Dwarfs, and approx. 15 Black Orcs to increase their numbers. Add that to the Dwarf Steam Tank, Dragons, and numerous Golems I already have, and it’s quite an army.

Kera foehunter:

Cool giant Did you repaint it ???

Astranagant:

I know that I’ve been quiet for a while, but I finally felt the impetus to start work on my Earthshaker.

Behold, the bastard child of a Crossbows & Catapults Cannon and Catapult.

Other ingredients used were Dr. Pepper “Bag in Box” caps for the wheels, a Chaos Space Marine vehicle panel, and some 30mm Mage Knight clicky bases.

In the future the wheels will probably be capped by a molded Chaos Star, and I will be adding a breech loading mechanism vis-a-vis a Chaos Marine vehicle hatch.

Any suggestions?

P.S - For scale purposes I’ve included my half-completed Chaos Dwarf Lord.

Astranagant:

Lot’s of updates this time, but here’s my first massed unit, a full 16 Dwarf Blunderbuss unit:

Nothing terribly new here, as most of the styles were borrowed from others, but they look decent enough.  I finished building these guys during Swiss’s live battle.

Gotta have the unit filler too:

With this guy I can field 20 Blunderbusses; here’s hoping I can win one of the old Chaos Dwarf weapon teams on e-bay someday, or I find a better way to build a bazooka-armed Dwarf.

My giant now has an improved rider; the giant may will see use in my combined Greenskin/Chaos Dwarf army in the homebrew system that I’m playing at the moment, but will likely just feature in my Orcs & Goblins army to remind them who their true masters are:

Speaking of Greenskins, just got my new Black Orc Warboss in…

And last but not least, a new character (likely war machine crewman), my Daemonsmith, Zarkon Ironspleen

Here’s hoping I have time to paint the Blunderbussiers and Daemonsmith up this week.

Hazkar:

i really like the look of your daemonsmith, cant wait to see it painted

are you plan to use the black orc warboss like it is???or will you remove the gun?

Thus far I've removed the power klaw, gun hand, and gun backpack, along with all of the wires. The power klaw is getting replaced with a 3rd Ed. Chaos Space Marine Champion power fist, while I'm using a Black Orc champion hand for the right hand. I'm considering putting the Black Orc shields on top of his shoulder guards, and a gigantic shield on his back.

Bazil:

Love how everything is turning out, especially the giant. Where is it from?

The giant is a Mage Knight (Clicky-miniature) Iron Rain Hill Giant.

RoguePanda:

I have to say I love the conversions you have done here - I am just struggling to decide I like best, the lovely cow-centaur lady, or the new daemonsmith? Seriously great work, very inspirational! I don’t recognise the backpack on the daemonsmith but it looks great - where did it come from? :cheers

Backpack's from a Vor Neo-Soviet Cyclops figure. I got gifted with a bunch of blisters of these for use as Lesser Pit Beasts in Urban War, and as a result have some extra backpacks.
