BABIS
Yes! I totally was thinking the same thing, good to see you back again, and I love the clean vintage color scheme. Really beautiful unit and very nice bases. Always cool to see Hthark the Unstoppable leading a unit of bull centaurs.
Great work my friend :cheers

Admiral:

Welcome back, you’ve entered the stage with a thunderous stampede. What a nice Bull Centaur unit!

Loidrial:

So here I am. I wanted to update this post so much, you have no idea.

This is what i had in the start:

I have to thank BABIS for his 4 blood bowl dwarves, all the rest are 6 different hob warrios, 2 dwarf champions and 2 extra bulls I had

I’m not good with gs so I couldnt be able to add any details to the models, just a couple of space marines shoulderpads because they fit the cause.

I decided to go for the classic paint style shown in the books and not making them gray with blue beards as my usual just for change the color scheme for once and leave old school looking style like here.

(my entire painting life is made by skaven, orks, chaos and chaos dwarves, i rarely painted human flesh…FUDGE IF I HATE IT! That stupid skin color doesnt apply well enough, never did for me, always had problems with pink skin…Never again xD)

I had an old Doom Bull, or what was that old GW minotaur called, but i cant remember at all where did it go after all these years.

And here the big pictures you already seen in the golden hat contest. Thank again you all for the votes!

Cheers!

Darkmeer:

They look wonderful, you should be proud of what you accomplished!

Skink:

Well done mate! It’s been a veeeeery long time since anyone posted a Blood Bowl team on these pages. Yours is amazingly converted & well painted!

Admiral:

Excellent work! Great use of colours.

Doombeard:

If you get a blunderbuss dude you can make a Zzharg Madeye Star Player as well!

Bloodbeard:

Well deserved gold medal, very nice team you’ve done here! Love them!

And good thing we have the competitions, pushed you to get a completed team. It’s wonderful.

Malorndk:

I came here to say well done on your amazing BB team, but then i saw your bullcentar unit and I’m pretty speachless about that unit as well, so this will just be another all round thumps up from me. Very good work, and lovely results.

Fuggit Khan:

What an astounding entry! The moment I saw it, it was love at first sight <3

I love everything, the choice of vintage models, the colors, the Hobgoblins (naturally :~) and the presentation.

It’s only fitting that such beautiful models are graced with such a beautiful standard of painting…congratulation on the gold medal, I’m very happy for you :cheers

tjub:

Wonderful team!

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

Loidrial:

Woa so many compliments o_o i’m not used to that xD thanks again to everyone. It was great to assemble this team and to paint it, I’m really happy you liked it so much!

Doombeard
Yeah I do have dozens of blnderbusses waiting to be painted, one more or less wouldnt matter.

I had in mind to paint him plus the Coach, using the dwarf hero with the axe pointing down but I didnt want to overflow the pics with so many extra models like the 3 cheerleaders xD
And good thing we have the competitions, pushed you to get a completed team. It’s wonderful.

Bloodbeard
Yeah I have to admit that painting for something more than the personal interest (because probably i’ll never get the chance to play them) helped me a lot.

Now i have to understand if start to paint a block of blunderbusses or hobgoblins, i had fun painting the hobs, they were faster and different style compared to the dwarves, but in a match i guess 20/30 busses are much more incisive than 20/30 greentarded hobs :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

To Hob or not to hob, this is the problem.

Admiral:

Hob! You could paint Blunderbusses 5 or 10 at a time, and refresh with 5 or 10 Hobgobbos if you want some variation.

Scribe’s Contest VII is up now, inspired by your winning Golden hat entry.

Loidrial:

Hi there, havent post anything in a while, but i didnt have the chance to paint since 2 golden hats ago.
Today i had a day free from work and i decided to put some effort and make some hobgoblin, this is the simple result.

The one on the left is the 1st CD model i ever made 2 or 3y ago, left it there as reminder of how bad he looked even if i liked the colour scheme (classic one basically) and the 2 on the right are my blood bowl hobs, just to have a little range comparison and bit more than only 5 models in a picture.

Cheers!

Fuggit Khan:

Great Hobbo’s…it really is interesting to see the change in painting styles over the years

And I really like the bases on the guys in the center…they’re clean, simple and effective. Very nice :h

Abecedar:

Very nice.  I don’t think I’d be game to do a comparison for my painting.

Malorndk:

Looking good as always. <3

even if i try to make them clean looking, i still cant get close to style silimar to your, i have in my head something similar as look but i'm still reasonably far from it
Very nice. I don't think I'd be game to do a comparison for my painting.

Abecedar
