Okay

Starting with the 1000 point list (note i have tried to base this around models you seem to have rather than all available options)

For your hero take the sword of might over the gauntlets - gives you the same benefits at the same cost but with no risks. Also make him the general (the sorcerer cannot be as he has lower leadership)

Sorcerer - good - take 2 scrolls on him

2nd hero - not sure what his use is -you already have a combat hero so i would suggest making him a BSB.

Core units

Warriors - good size would drop the banner of slavery and take a warbanner instead - that way with the bsb they have static combat res of 6 and possibly 7 with outnumber.

Blunderbuss unit - drop 1 and add a standard with the points saved then slot the sorcerer into this unit to make the numbers back up

Hobgoblins - you would be much better off with 2 units of 20 with no command options - more than twice as useful than 1 large unit

Now for your special and Rare choices you need to either go warmachine heavy (1 death rocket and 3 bolt throwers) or add some mobility (6 bull-centaurs with heavy armour and 2 bolt throwers) - that entirely depends on your playing style - my preference is the latter though.

For your 1500 point list the same comments hold true about the heroes and the warrior regiment.

The blunderbuss unit is too big - build it as per my suggestions for the 1000 point list.

Hobgoblins - see above comments - with the spare points saved between them and the blunderbuss unit you can get a unit of 10 hobgoblins with bows that can provide some useful longer range shooting.

I would with orcs take a fully ranked (25 as 5*5 or 24 as 6 * 4) unit to get the most out of them. Otherwise it looks good

Alan the evil:

I just explain what does not persuade me

about 1000:

the hero with gauntlet and no other weapon: if I want to give +1 strenght by a 20 pt magic item, it’s better sword of might… it costs the same, it works the same, it avoids any risk of provoke fatalities in your ranks…

and he must to be the general, because of high save armour - (gazrak).

and if you want a third hero put a scroll caddy… he could justify chalice of darkness, even if I prefear to find points for use 2 sorcerers level 2 with stone(s)/scroll(s)…

where can you find this points? mainly swappin banner of slavery with war banner… and taking off sneaky gits and command group from hobbos: you can still have 2 good disposable units fielding 2 x 20 naked hobbos

if you can find 30 pt more earthshaker it’s better than death rocket

about 1500:

same thinking about unit of hobbos: take off command and split them in 2 unit…

swap banner of slavery with war banner

and i should feel more sure taking off orks and BC command group for fielding another unit of CD warrior: you still have 3 infantry units very reliable (no animosity) and 2 expendable and cheap units

hope to be helpfull

EuphoricMelody:

Firstly, thanks for the feekback Ubertechie and Alan the evil, i’ll explain however why i am fieklding the units the way i am.

Chaos Dwarfs - The Banner of Slavery need to be kept to make sure that giant unit of hobgoblins doesn’t run (it has been the game decider in EVERY game i’ve played with chaos dwrafs, hahaha).

Blunderbuss’ - While buying a standard bearer usually would be good, my sorercer and my hero are always together in the woods or out of sight somewhere (the hero is used to kill charcters or an annoying small unit of w.e, though he usually dies in the process, which also @Alan the evil, is why he can’t be the general), i’d be too worreid about the sorcerer getting attacked if he was in an open unit, and also most enemies will not want to charge the blunderbuss due to stand and shoot.

Hobgoblins - see Chaos Dwarfs.

Also (@ Alan the evil), my reason for using the death rocket is simply because i have the model, whereas i don’t for the earthshaker, and the other reasonbeing that i made some ‘fun’ extra rules for themto make games mor einteresting if the opponent lets me use them ( it’s the idea of the rocket, instead of going 4d6 in a single direction and exploding, ‘bouncing’ until either a misfire of hit is rolled, and also that any unit it lands in must take a leadership test, or not be able to do anything in their next turn).

Alan the evil:

about 1000:

If you want to have a hero annoying small units or killing characters, is it not better to use a bull centaur hero? He has got M8 vs M3 of CD hero…

you can find missing points taking off sneaky gits and you gain a faster and more performing hunting character…

EuphoricMelody:

Usually i would agree wit you Alan the evil, a Bull Centaur Hero would normally be the better choice, but my Hero gets into combat through The first Lore of Shadows spell (forgot the name), so there’s no need for the extra movement, plus there would be the temptation to move the Bull Centaur Hero away from the Sorcerer due to the high movement… and as they say “the more the merrier” (those 10 sneaky gits are a good cannon fodder for my blunderbussers, they last just long enough, and usually get into combat aswell). I would probably use a Bull Centaur Hero in a 2000 points game, since it’s an expensive model, i’d rather take more troops for those extra 50 points.
