Gmaleron:
Hello once again everyone! First of all thank you guys for being understand as I continue to update and tweak my list to fit my needs/abilities. This is a final rendition of my list (outside small changes) as this is what I will be able to afford financially in time for when the tournament comes around on May 19th. As usual any thoughts, ideas and comments are more then welcome and in particualr any advice on tactics and such would be particuallry appreciated, thanks again for reading guys!
LORDS AND HEROES: 595pts.
Sorcerer-Prophet
*w/ Lvl. 4, Lore of Hashut, Enchanted Shield, Talisman of Preservation, Dispel Scroll, Blood of Hashut
-Infernal Castellan BSB
*w/ Armor of Bazherak the Cruel, Great Weapon
CORE: 569pts.
-x28 Infernal Guard “Horde”
*w/ Full Command, Blunderbusses, Lichebone Pennant
SPECIAL: 510pts.
-Magma Cannon
*w/ Hellbound
-x6 Bull Centaurs
*w/ Full Command, Great Weapons, Banner of Swiftness
(OR)
x6 K’daai Fireborn
*w/ Manburner
RARE: 325pts.
-K’daai Destroyer
TOTAL ARMY: 1999 POINTS
Tactics:
-With my Level 4 covering my Magic with Lore of Hashut along with making sure my Magma Cannon does not misfire and dispel scroll for magic defense
-The backbone of this list x28 Infernal Guard in a horde (Prophetand BSB will be in this unit) with blunderbusses to hopefully weaken anything daring to come near it in CC and they have the Lichebone Pennant for magic defense. (*Note took this because of
-A Magma Cannon to lay down some hurt and thin out my opponents numbers with flame templates and magical attacks against anything that is ethereal, ect. Also added 5 Bull Centaurs to run around and support K’daai Destroyer and to potentially hunt war machines if need be. I also have the option to instead run x5 K’daai Fireborn (only real toss up in this list) so any input into that regard as to which ones I should take would really be appreciated!
-The single K’daai Destroyer to be the offensive part of my list and potentially lay the hurt down on anyone foolish enough to get in its path.

Hello.
I would not feel very comfortable with only 3 drops+WM, but then I do not usually play at 2000, so not sure if that would be ok. I might lower the numbers on both IG´s unit (which are as big as the ones I use on my 2500 points) to add a unit or two of hobgoblins. Otherwise I do not see how will you avoid getting flank charged. Those flanks may prove a real weakness on your Sorc Prophet unit, as they are not stubborn. Also both hellbound MC’s may be a bit of an overkill? If you get a lvl 1 fire you should be fine with ethereals already, and you would be freeing up 50 points which is almost ok to get a Khan on wolf, which are very usefull in my opinion. Other than that I might tweak magic items a bit, but thats also a matter of taste I guess.
Good luck in the tourney!
Javi.

LORDS AND HEROES: 727pts.
Sorcerer-Prophet
*w/ Lvl. 4, Lore of Hashut, The Mask of the Furnace, Blood of Hashut
an enchanted shield and talisman of preservation are cheaper than the mask
-Demonsmith
*w/ Lvl. 1, Lore of Fire/Metal/Death, Dispel Scroll
I like fire, others prefer metal-Infernal Castellan BSB
*w/ Armor of Bazherak the Cruel
You can put the mask on this guy with a normal shield; if you're using aobtc for MR, consider the lichebone pennant instead. Otherwise, take a great weapon as well as the aobtc, seeing as he's got both hands freeCORE: 640pts.
-x24 Infernal Guard
*w/ Full Command
-x24 Infernal Guard
*w/ Full Command
Too much on core. One unit of 28 IG, one unit of 20 hobbos with bowsSPECIAL: 340pts.
-Magma Cannon
*w/ Hellbound
-Magma Cannon
*w/ Hellbound
If you're going for fire on your daemonsmith, I don't think you really need two magic cannonsRARE: 325pts.
-K'daai Destroyer
roaaaaar!!!!!GmaleronWith these changes, you could probably squeeze in a small unit of bull centaurs as well.
MLP:
Your Prophet is a very expensive second warmachine babysitter and with lore of hashut, fear causing armour and blood of hashut he needs to be closer to the action, get him a crown of command(use points from hellbound) and have two stubborn blocks. If you want to play with that many infernal Guard you need to make the most of them.
I really rate Ironsworn as well even though they seem expensive I’ve always had awesome results with them, people don’t expect them to be so awesome at not dying AND dishing out punishment. I find that they massacre cavalry and heavy infantry.
Gmaleron:
Thanks for the replies guys and for letting me know some cheaper and just as effective item combos to get the same results with the more expensive magic items. I will tweak the list a little but I have some questions first:
-Is it better to take only 1 unit of Infernal Guard over 2 @ this point level? And by dropping Hellbound (should I even do this?) I could free up some more points.
-Ironsworn seem to be really good in my opinion, however being much more expensive is the big turnoff for me when it comes to them, however would it be feasible to spam my core with hobgoblins then take pure ironsworn?
-To clear something up I was always intending my Prophet to be in combat and not to babysit warmachines (would literally camp the level 1 between the two magma cannons) so hence his build. Besides taking the cheaper mix of magic items anything else I should consider fixing with this guy?
MLP:
At 2000 points I reckon you’re okay with two 20 man blocks. Especially if they’re both stubborn using castellan and prophet with crown of command.
I have a few lists that use hobgoblins(shields & bows) as main core with infernals and then a nice block of Ironsworn. I have the general and bsb in the ironsworn and flank with 2 hobgob blocks using the other infernals to anchor a flank. Ironsworn will hold up against any charge and not budge, then get some flanking done with Wolf Raiders or Centaurs.
Gmaleron:
Thanks for the replies guys, the list has been redone (the list @ the top of the page is the one thats been redone for anyone who needs to know!!) with some heavy looking over the forums and listening to many of your ideas. I have once again refrained from taking any Goblin units as I am trying to stick with a pure Dwarf army feel but I am still open to maybe taking them in an army. Please tell me what you think as usual any comments, ideas and thoughts are more then welcome. Thanks again guys for helping a newbie out!
Samanos:
its a pity not to use hobbos i reallly think that they are useful.
i would use death on lvl 4, add a shrieker maybe instead of centaurs.
if you only have 1 machine then drop the demonsmith, you dont need it. prophet in a unit nearby gets the job done.
i would also add 2 khans on wolfs, 1 to redirect/hunt machines, the other to ensure the kdaai will charge the units he wants to charge and wont overun etc etc.

Have considered dropping the demonsmith in order to free up points however the dispel scroll and his ability to babysit the warmachine while my level 4 moves with one of the infernal guard blocks is a little tempting to pass up. I do see the benefits of that though and will definitely think about adding them into my list in some way.
Gmaleron:
Hey everyone final list update is up for the May 19th tournament but due to financial restrictions the above list is the best I can do so if anybody has any info or tactics based advice or anything in regards to choosing either the Centaurs or Fireborn would be great and thanks again for all the help guys I really do appreciate it!
javi:
I usually prefer K’daais over BC´s, but in your case all the hitting units already have flaming attacks (MC+Destroyer+Hashut lore), so I’d rather go with centaurs just in case you face some mounted hero with dragon helm or the like, which would block either Destroyer or K’daais the entire game (or some Dragon princes, there is a post somewhere about that).
Regards
Javi.
MLP:
I would probably prefer Bull Centaurs over K’daai in this list for the same reasons as Javi, lots of people stick dragonhelm on characters in tournements. But also you’ll want the reliability as you only have a few unit drops. Although K’daai wont flee they can sometimes burn out far too quick whereas the Bull Centaurs will tend to stick around a lot longer.
Also you don’t have much to deal with enemy war machines. Bull Centaurs can do this pretty well but it’s probably a waste for six of them. Maybe use two units of three? Or one unit of four and a Deathshrieker(if you can get one in time).
Your list however looks to be on the points denial side of things. That horde with 3+ 6+ MR3 Stubborn shouldn’t be giving up points anytime soon. You just need to deal with any templates ASAP, that to me looks like your weakness so beware Dwarves and Empire and save your dispel scroll for the big hitters.
Good luck in your Tourney

MLP
I have heard that the death shrieker is good @ this, I dont have my book on me though so what does this thing do exactly? I also only have 1 warmachine because I only have 1 demonsmith (Prophet) who will be with the Infernal Guard and want to be able to re-roll misfires in a pinch.
MLP:
Well the Deathshrieker range is good and it has two types of rocket to fire, one as a S3 template good against troops and the other is a S8(?) multi-wound single shot which is good against war machines and monsters. The deathshrieker S3 template is pretty accurate with its special rule and the S8 rocket will hit 1/3 of the time but also if you scatter only 2" you should hit a war machine. If you could find points for a daemonsmith it makes a deathshrieker(and magma cannon) awesome.
Samanos:
i would go with 2x3 centaurs as already mentioned.
or use just three of them and fit in a deathshrieker.
