This is my 2300 Point chaos dwarf army list for my game next week against a mortal w/daemon heavy tzench army. I dont know much about his list but Ive been informed that he uses a level 4 sorcerer on dragon with a 3 plus armour and ward save, disks of tzench and dragon ogres :frowning: All suggestions welcome…

Theory_Man:

Hobgoblins might be a liability against a Tzench magic heavy army. I don’t know the choas magic lists so well but I remenber a spell that can turn troops into horrors. I would look up the spells that could be used against you.

Indigo fire of change - every model in the unit takes a strength two hit with no saves, any killed turns into a horror, so thats 1 in three of your hobbo unit, and don’t forget horrors have their own bound spells. As a Tzeentch player, my oly worry would be not having enough horrors to cover all those hobbos I’d changed

CDs are the answer. Pick your targets well and outnumber him. The bull centaurs and shaker are good ideas. don’t forget units with mark of Tzeentch add 1 communal power dice and you have to kill EVERY ONE to get rid of it. Isolate and kill off the few core units he’ll have. The bolt throwers will be good against the dragon and dragon ogres, but the screamers will slaughter them! Those guys should be your first target, and don’t forget about slashing attacks, coz with two crew hobbo bolt throwers are meat for them. Use your scrolls VERY well - there will be some spells you just have to stop, and they’re not the first ones he’ll use, and probablly won’t come till turn 2-3 at the earliest
