Hey all, been wanting to put a Chaos Dwarf army together for a long time, just to do something different and fun from the standard GW armies at my LGS. With the holiday season upon us, I finally took the plunge and got the Tamurkhan book.
The main reason I’m doing this army is bc of how beautiful the forgeworld models are, so no hobgoblins here. Here’s what I came up with for my first 2400 points.
Lvl 4 Prophet, lore of Hashut
-enchanted shield, blood of hashut, talisman of preservation
I like the look of this list in general. Do people find much luck with these small units of IG? I have been rolling it over myself. Also, I wonder if there is any way you could get that big block some great weapons as they already have poor intitiave any way.
That’s a problem I often have - there is usually only a single “not small” block of Dwarves on the table so two expensive characters usually go into it. Take out that one block with a big spell and it’s game over. I have been running my General within 3" of my parent dwarf block or in a detachment unit for a few games now with good results.
With a Look Out, Sir! roll, T5, 1+ armour save, and a 4+ ward save, bring on the divers!
Well, the armour is ignored, so its a 4+ to wound, followed by a 4+ LOS and a 4+ ward. He can hit pretty reliably too. Just not worth the risk on a 350pt Lv4 who is also the general. Don't really see any situation where the risk is worthwhile really?
