TheFNG:
I’ve got a game against the new Dark Elves this weekend, and I need your help, CDO! I’ve come up with the following list, but I am open to your suggestions on anything from the list to tactics.
Lords:
Sorceror-Prophet, Lvl 4 Hashut
Talisman of Preservation, Chalice
395
Heroes:
Infernal Castellan, BSB
Mask of the Furnace, Ironcurse Icon, Shield
202
Daemonsmith, Lvl 2 Metal or Death (undecided)
Dispell Scroll
155
Hobgoblin Khan
Giant Wolf
52
Core:
26x Infernal Guard
Blunderbusses, Full Command, Banner of Swiftness
515
20x Hobgoblin Cutthroats
Bows
90
Special:
Deathshrieker
100
Magma Cannon
145
Magma Cannon
145
3x Bull Centaur Renders
Shields
135
Rare:
K’daai Destroyer
325
5x Hobgoblin Wolf Riders
Bows
70
5x Hobgoblin Wolf Riders
Bows
70
The Sorceror and Castellan will sit in the Blunderbuss unit until he gets in charge range. Then I’ll bring the SP back to the warmachines where he can continue to cast without restriction.
The wolf riders are there to harrass his Warlocks and possibly re-direct where necessary. The Khan and Bull Centaurs will re-direct and escort the Destroyer. I think my warmachines will have plenty of success against his T3 elves. I also think the bows will do enough to justify their inclusion in the list.
I might try to find the points for the Terrifying Mask for the Khan. I would love to combo Doom and Darkness and the Khan to send one of his units fleeing for the hills.
Which brings me to another dilemna. I’m not sure of the Lore of Magic for the D.Smith. Death is fun, but Purple Sun will be less useful against Dark Elves leaving Spirit Leach and Doom and Darkness as my two preferred spells. But there’s no guarantee i’d get D&D. On the other hand, all of the Lore of Metal spells could be useful for me, but I don’t think its as dangerous as Death.
Please help! Thanks.
