on Great Taurus (hide at the beginning from warp lightning cannon)

3x Khan on wolf

21 IG fireglaives, full command, flame banner (for the abomination in case he plays one)

21 HG bows, musician

20 HG bows, musician

Destroyer

I dont really need the shard. What could I take instead?<br><br>Probably Ill face two wheels and two cannons, gutter runners and a bell.

Bale is great against skaven, also magma and deathshrieker.

I’d take dual hellcannons and drop the destroyer also take blunderbusses and drop fireglaives.

Skaven T3, 2 rockets imo are a must.

You may consider dropping the shard and picking up the earthing rod since you said you aren’t married to the shard. This would let you drop big dice on spells with a little more insurance.  I don’t think the scepter is your strongest option.

Also, focus your high strength war machine fire directly on the bell until it and the grey seer are blown apart. He will fall apart without his General’s LD. Doom and darkness with your hell cannon is going to be a key to victory as well.

Your usual character sniping will not be as effective vs the grey seer on the bell since he will undoubtedly have the talisman of preservation combined with MR3 from the bell. No direct damage spells are getting through. Kill his BSB with your spells.

units are comped to 450 pts. Only 1 hc allowed. Pool of 4: all warmachines, hc, destroyer. Iron daemon is not comped.

So it is to think about switching to 4 wm (add shrieker) and id And great to bale. That could be a good idea only a bit more problems if storm banner stays long.

Blunders are risky because of the Skaven shooting (warp lightning spell, rocket). With 450 pts you only can take 23. Destroyer has ini 5, not so dangerous against bronze sphere and the Skaven ini spell.

But i will consider above option. Thank you so far!

Doom and darkness is the 4th spell in lore of death. It makes the unit -3 leadership and remains in play. Combined with panic checks from the rocket and he'll cannon it makes for a very rough day for Skaven. This is especially true if you can kill his BSB or general.

Hi there. To bring this to a conclusion. It was a major win.

I played a list without BSB.

s-p lvl 4 death, bale, charmed shield, earthing rod, preservation, ds lvl 1 fire, dispel scroll, 2 hobgoblin khans, 21 ig fireglaive full command gleaming pennant, 2 x 20 hobgoblin w bows, musician, 2 x deathshrieker, 1 magma cannon, iron daemon (NOT hellbound), Destroyer.

He played: prophet, preservation,scroll, warlord on rat ogre, ogre blade, warlock lvl 2, rocket, condensator, warlock bronze sphere, bsb ironcurse, charmed shield, MR 2 obsidian. 35 stormvermin full command storm banner, 1 poisoned wind mortar, 2 x 40 slaves, 1 x 20 slaves, 3 rat darts, 4 rat ogres with 3 handlers, 1 wheel, 2 cannons, 2 x 8 gutter runners

Had to deploy everything before his important stuff and played demon and destroyer to the centre, hobgoblins to the flanks, behind the left ones my general.

He chose good positions for his cannons, the wheel opposing to my general, the rat ogres with the lord on the other flank.

He had the first turn and killed 3 hobgoblins with the wheel. The cannons did no deciding damage. dispel scroll against skitterleap.

My first turn doom and darkness with total power (roll 7) and then 11 stormvermin killed with the magma. He managed to roll the first 7, was a nice chance to win the game.

Deciding game situations:

He killed a rocket with a cannon and had hits on the general (charmed shield, bale down to 1 life), magma (down to 1 life) and iron daemon. The iron daemon and Kdaii stuck in the slaves, slaves with death frenzy and poison spell brought Kdaii down to 1 life before he slaughtered all.

Gutter runners came by ambush in turn 2 and 3. One of the units killed by his own doom rocket which flied to far (6 gutter runners, 2 infernal guard killed)

Rat ogres were killed by the infernal guard who did a very good job. Khans drove skaven cannons of the field.

Second total power of my general no damage to him because of earthing rod !

Skaven BSB killed by basic death spell.

Last turn skaven: Malfunction wheel, destroyed. Total power death frenzy on slaves, dimensional casade, grey seer and stormvermin gone. Slaves kill my iron daemon.

2515 : 840 for the chaos dwarfs with a risky list, your good advice and a good amount of luck at the end.

Without his miscast in last turn it would have probably been about 1600 to 840.
