Morgr Ashbeard:

Here is a list I am thinking about…let me know if you think it needs some tweaks

Sorcerer Prophet- level 4, enchanted shield, talisman of protection and dispel scroll

Castellan BSB- great weapon, mask of the furnace

Daemonsmith- level 2 chalice of blood and darkness

Tauruk- great wepoan, black shard armour, crown of command and dragonhelm

Hobgoblin Khan on wolf with warrior bane and potion of foolhardiness

Hobgoblin khan on wolf

30 Infernal Guard with full command and banner of slavery (bsb and Sorcerer in here)

20 Hobgoblin archers with muso

20 Hobgoblin archers with muso

Magma cannon

Deathshrieker rocket

Irondaemon

3 Bullcentaur renders inc muso and standard with gleaming pennant

Plan is for the infantry and cannon and rockets to form firebase and the centaurs and irondaemon to roll up one flank.

sam585:

A K’daii destroyer can roll a flank way better than an irondemon, other then that should work reasonably well.

Morgr Ashbeard:

Thanks…im trying to avoid the k’daii only because of the rolling of eyes and gnashing of teeth

Im thinking about ditching the bull centaurs and getting more warmachines…

Bloodbeard:

I would drop the banner of slavery and get the unit a razor banner in stead. That will really increase their killing ability. The goblins are in range of both a ld 10 general and a bsb - so they should hold just fine. Immune to panic won’t let them hold a stable LD in close combat anyways.

I like the Tauruk to be able to run solo and hunt things down. I think the BCs are an obstacle for him - but it depends on the situation. Anyway I would try and fit him with a dawnstone for 1+ re-rollable armorsaves! Then he’ll only die from cannonballs to the face.

If you ditch the bull centaurs you can’t include the taur’ruk.

I think it’s essential for the Iron Demon to be hellbound. +1T and +1 W will let him stay in combat far longer! Especially because with th increased toughness all those knights and GW wielding troops will still only hurt it on 6’s. Plus it let’s you get it into combat effectively despite eating a cannonball in round 1.

I like your list. But I think it sink a bit too many points into heroes and lords. A hellcannon is the price of a geared taur’ruk and I think it generally kills a lot more and is harder to take out.

All that being said - you will have fun with this list! It has it all. Hard close combat, strong magic, speed and shooting. It’s a great list for finding out which elements of our army you like to play the best!

Morgr Ashbeard:

Thanks Bloodbeard…yeah im rethinking the whole list and probably will replace all the centaurs for a hellcannon and other bits…

sam585:

If they cannot handle a K’daii then they are doing it wrong. Im taking 2 K’daiis to the next tournament solely for the purpose of all the eye rolling and complaining I am tired of catering to other peoples needs lol. Taking more warmachines would make your list a legitimate gunline which will generate just as much eye rolling :stuck_out_tongue: but it is alot safer of a list and easier to use imo

dromar:

Too much point are spended in characters IMHO.

Taur’uk is resiliant but expensive and cost more than a hellcanon or even 4 Bull centaurs!

Only 2 warmachines? Then you don’t need 2 infernal ingeneers, just leave one close to the two of them.

Unless you run more warmachines: it would be quite logical with your list that looks much more defensive than offensive.

Why don’t you give heavy weapon on your infernal guard or even fireglaives? they would have some shots + high strenght.

Hobgoblins aren’t numerous enough to hold anything and don’t need to be immune to psychology, i will run one big unit of 30/40 with a standard and even shield (5+ and parade)

What’s the gleaming pennant? I should gave them the standard that can re-roll one fail moral test for 5pts.
