Baggronor:

I would put the IG into 2 units. I’m looking at 2x30-35. I think fewer, larger blocks make better use of the stubborn characters and will be harder to get points off.

At 3k, I’m planning to try 2x6 Fireborn and a support unit of 3 BCs.

I just don’t see Drazhoath the Ashen doing 570 points of damage in a game, or even surviving the battle. Fluffwise I completely understand the reason for using him. He has a great story, and the model is beautiful, but I think that a level 4 will save you at least 250 points to put into either more Bull Centaurs or K’daii.

I full agree, He wouldnt gain his points back really, neither will the IG, but there stil taken ;). If i had a Level 4, ild still want him on a bale taurus. So for the extra points, Drazhoth is worth it.

to be fair, i dont think the K’daii are that great. 2 wounds and have to take tests or lose D3.

I have an iron daemon, but cant see much place for it on the battle field.

Win. I plan on doing up a Drazhoath list myself.

I like your army a fair bit. Has a good mix of things.

So if you add the stubborn Castellan to a unit it transfers the stubborn to them?

With regards to your second list…I do think you’ll miss the Great Weapon IG as losing them loses you a big heavy hitting unit.

Does a Dreadquake Mortar beat the crap out of war machine hunting units? ;) Hellcannon is a monster and still a str10 stone thrower as well.

Yes true, but surely with 2 slave ogres and the crew, it can hold off most fast cav and skirmishers? And its the pie plate not the small template.

And also, reading the rules, the attackers can only assault with 6 men. in the brb, pretty sure that’s what I read.

DQM is great vs hordes and elite units, too. I don’t understand the hate for it.
