I have one question about the chaos dwarfs. I suppose it has been answered somewhere already and I’m curious what the answer is.

The chaos dwarfs live mostly in a single huge city built around a ziggurat, with thousands upon thousands of slaves, it the middle of what is basically Mordor.

so…

What do they all eat?

There would probably be a huge influx of slaves, and a lot of mineral wealth and manufactured goods going out.

So, there would be trade caravans, I’m guessing.

Why do you think they go on raids> Food could easily be plunder they bring back.

If you think it’s been discussed before do a quick search for a thread. I know of at least two and think there may be three before this ine :smiley:

But, they trade for food, eat some fo the stuff that lives there, farm, etc…

seriously, trade, farming - on a industrial scale - think battery hens, battery cows, battery humans, etc....
But it does raise the question, do CD's get their 5 a day? :)

Pretty sure CDs (like normal dwarfs) have diets consisting of beer and more beer, followed by some food that goes quite well with a bit of beer. Then more beer. Then ale.

If you ask me the chaos dwarfs are far to arrogant and profit obsesed to buy their food from others (the indignity!) though not afraid to outsourse it for the same reasons.  Thus I reckon a lot of it comes as tribute through fear.  The greenskin tribes of the Darklands, the Norse near Uzkulak, the Ogres, small unimportant empires no one hears about and of course Pigbarter! why else would we alow such a disgusting pile of moldy wood and slave fodder to exist in OUR lands?

Im fairly certain I read Blood Ale somewhere in Thommy H’s fluff, sounds like good stuff to me!
