[Archive] Alternate Chaos Dwarf Models

Ancient History:

Started an [[Alternate Chaos Dwarf Models]] page on the wiki, for anyone that knows of something cool and wants to contribute.

If you do, please try to follow the format of the page:

wallacer:

I’ve added some stuff for Twisted Tales.

I’ll go through and do Hasslefree and the others next.

[edit] added Hasslefree, Twisted Tales, Fenryll and Heresy.

Ancient History:

Excellent. Good show, that Chaos Dwarf.

clam:

Cool idea - but I don’t really know how to edit the Wiki - and really don’t have the time learn right now.

Wasn’t able to add Rackham as their store is unavailable at the moment (not entirely sure if Rackham should be added anyway…)

wallacer
I do  It would be so nice with a compilation of all the alternatives out there - just like we have the entire GW Miniature range shown - both current and OOPs.

And a lot of inspiration for this page could be found here:

https://discourse.chaos-dwarfs.com/t/6076

And we also might like to add these:

Hasslefree:

I think it should mention, that Hasslefree is doing Sjoerd Trouwee’s dwarves of Myth (the Twisted Tale ones) - now. Will be up in april I belive.

Hasslefree has also cast Sjoerdo’s (Sjoerd Trouwee) lates CD - this one:

http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1791

WIP can be seen here: https://discourse.chaos-dwarfs.com/t/7719

And I think that his newer sculpts also will find it’s way to Hasslefree’s

Twisted Tales

TT also has the Klagg Morgrief miniature:

Fenryll

Fenryl has Chaos dwarfs as well - these:

Fenryll - Boutique - Fenryll

And also these should/could be added:

Pirate dwarfs: Fenryll - Boutique - Fenryll

Skeleton dwarf: Fenryll - Boutique - Fenryll

and maybe the Dwarf Giant  Fenryll - Boutique - Fenryll

Grenadier

Grenadier also did a blister pack:

with these 3 CDs:

Chronopia

The Ral Partha miniatures is also made by Chronopia (Pince August): http://www.princeaugust.ie/target_games/index.html (would really like have known the history behind Ral Partha - they seems to pop up everywhere :D)

They have a few more (evil looking dwarfs (yes, I know that they are not all evil in the storyline - but not many - from appearance - regular dwarfs in there range)):

Dark Tusk Blood Totem + Keeper, Horned Ones Spearmen, Axe-horn Warriors, and Warshields

Could also be found in blister-packs

In the blister range you could also find Dark Tusked, Vulture Mallet Warriors, Wolf Legion, Crossbows - all more or less evil looking.

EDIT: Forgot this new one - the Dark-Tusked Tusk Raider

Metal Magic

Another company that’s out of business but did some Bob Olley Chaos Dwarfs.

And did a few of my favorite Chaos Dwarfs :

You can see them all here here: http://www.stunties.com/wiki/index.php/Chaos_Dwarves_28mm

Quite a few of them are still available at: Mega Miniatures http://stores.shop.ebay.com/MegaMiniatures__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Essex:

Essex also do Bob Olley Chaos Dwarfs (25mm)

The range could be seen here: http://www.essexminiatures.co.uk/gal_qfan3.html

Groznit Goregut:

That’s a really cool idea! It’s really nice to see all available minis all so close together.

chrixter:

Wasn't able to add Rackham as their store is unavailable at the moment (not entirely sure if Rackham should be added anyway...)

wallacer
They shouldn't as they just made a clear that their curremt metal range is completely dropped.

Zanko:

In my opinion the Rackham minis should be posted in the wiki.

The reason ist that all CD should be posted. That Rackham drops their metals is no argument, cause Metal Magic and Grenadier are bankrupt since lots of years so than their minis must also be droped!

Also the models from Reaper Miniatures should be posted in the wiki! They are mentioned at the link “Clam” named above! :hat off

:hashut

Gaixo:

Have Rackham made that clear? It’s obvious that’s what they’re up to, but I missed the announcement.

cornixt:

If anyone has pictures of the models, available or not, they should go in the wiki. Make it clear if they are discontinued though.

wallacer:

Gaixo
Rackham sold the forge that they used to cast their metal figures and are now switching over to predominantly plastic figures, although last I heard they were claiming they would still keep producing some of the old metal figures (similar to GW's "Classics" range of older figures).

I will try to add the stuff Clam mentioned above during my lunch break.

Gaixo:

Yeah, I’m up on that stuff, for better or worse. I just wondered if they had officially discontinued their “Legends” line. As I said, I know the new ownership group is doing it, just didn’t know if they had been forthright about it.

Apologies for the minor derailment.

clam:

Thx! Wallacer for doing the updates here

Came to think about a few more

Heartbreaker

They did these - Dark Dwarfs

213s

214s

219s

Source: Stunties.com

And a few more for fantasy football - or converted WFBs:

Figurines Uscarl Miniatures - Sell these Nains Mutants:

Goblin Forge - have the Kigloo the bad fig

Heresy

And maybe we might add - that the Heresy Dark Lord Dwarf Va’Durr comes with a Deathball hand option - to look like this:

Enigma Miniatures

And then I think that the Enigma Toktien Chaos Dwarf missed the Wiki Updata:

Couldn’t find a picture of the model itself - but only this piece of artwork:

EDIT: Found this painted figure at CMON: http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics12/img46a8a9249bb7a.jpg

clam:

Also the Mirliton’s seems to have sliped the all seeing eye, though, this should have been added by Mr. Mirliton Zanko - but now I’m at it - I’ll do this as well;)

Mirliton has a few dwarfs in there Chaos Line - called Dwogars?

- but also there regular dwarfs could easily be converted to CDs.

Yeah ... shame on me! :(

I assume they called their CD Dwogars referring to AD&Ds Duergar! ;)

GRNDL:

wallacer:

Thx! Wallacer for doing the updates here ;)

Came to think about a few more :D

clam
Remind me to change your rank to "slavemaster" ;)

I'll get these added as soon as I can.

cornixt:

Don’t forget about the preview button, it saves you having to update it over and over for little appearanace changes and the like.

clam:

Remind me to change your rank to "slavemaster" ;)

wallacer
