If you’re willing to take the time and money here’s one thing I’d consider doing.
Since these would be your own designs, consider using a molding process for them.
Design a few big hats, spend a lot of time on say… four or five designs. Then make the molds for them. Then you can mass produce them to allow for a somewhat standard appearance with some variety (basically same shape and size, different icons).
I used rubber wellnuts and… I’m happy with them, but a lot of people go the tack method and it can look so much better when done right.
Best idea: try a few different had designs, before attaching. See which one you’re happiest with, and go with it.

Hats are the best! I have one hat, wich i made out of a Ironbreaker helmet, some Chaos warrior shield arrows and some greenstuff, wich i intend to clone by using Ishkur’s (i think it was) resin guide

Well, I said there would be pictures, and Voila!
So I’m somewhat happy with the result. I dont know about the spikes though, I may remove them, though unlikely. I’ve also decided that I’m not going to add that sweet armor that Xander gave his CD’s, only because I’m not a GS king…They’ll be painted soon.
I’m Also working on my Bull Centaurs, maybe another warrior, or perhaps a mage, hero, or blunderbuss ( I had an extra body, which I plan to use of course)
