BilboBaggins:
Yes, I love my Halflings.

Halfling Bard
Halflings bards are respected members of the Moot. They are hired to give troops preparing for battle moral support. Their chants have the ability to lift the spirits of all units in the army they have joined. Being small and stealthy has helped be unnoticed by some until their singing of the psalms begins.

Psalms of the Moot
Psalm of Protection: Until your next magic phase the model gains a 5+ Ward Save. The Psalm lasts until dispelled or Bard sings another Psalm.
Psalm of Safety: All enemy units suffer a ?"1 to hit for missile and close combat against the Bard and any unit he has joined. The Psalm lasts until dispelled or the Bard sings another Psalm.
Psalm of Health: Nominated model within 12 inches (including Bard himself) is restored to full wounds.
Psalm of Determination: Unit your next magic phase the Bard and unit he is leading becomes Stubborn.
Psalm of Life: Every model in base contact with the Bard is unable to attack. This is not a Psychology Test.
-----------
The original Psalm of Determination was that the unit would always win combat by at least 2 no matter the result. Swiss thought it to over the top. :o
Thommy H:
The Psalms seem very powerful. I’m not sure what “Undying Love” is supposed to do either - psychology that adds attacks? That’s just frenzy, isn’t it?
BilboBaggins:
Frenzy and Hatred add attacks (or re-roll attacks) I’ll have to reword that.
I figured it was the opposite of a Warrior Priests Hatred.
Thommy H:
My feeling is that he has a lot of rules and abilities, and they don’t really have any kind of theme. You should maybe tighten up the Psalms to three or four and make them either very simple (like, just basic buffs for a unit he’s joined) or theme them around something specific.
ElEndro:
It sounds fun, but few spalms sound a bit too strong.
Also i dont understand how it works with hatred, as it does not ad attack, just you can reroll misses. You lose the rerolls? Or also the whole hatred thing, so you dont have to overrun?

There are no more rules than most heroes out there. He has 3 which is the same number as a Empire Warrior Priest. I may drop a Psalm or two since Warrior Priests have 4.

Damn, another re-write in my future. I think it'll just remove all psychology on models in base contact with him and unit he has joined.
51la5:
the Psalms do seam pretty powerful but you have to remember that there power level 3 so their easily dispelled. I think Psalms should count as psychology since they are sung by the bard thus units immune to psychology should be immune.

That would be a given. Why would you think otherwise. The Undying love stops psychology but Immune to Psychology can't be prevented.
ElEndro:
Removing psychology could make interesting issues when using against an undead unit, how would they lose CC?
But removing frenzy hatred and maybee stubborn sounds ok.
BilboBaggins:
Undead would still lose in CC and still lose troops due to crumbling. That isn’t psychology.
ElEndro:
They are unbreakable, thats the psychology part of it. And if they lose it, then why should they start to crumble? its only a little bug in the rules, but i like to argue
51la5:
I know its a given but you get people out there who will exploit any and all loop holes so you may want to close that one.
grom:
barded pony is bad idea… same goes for shield…

Removing Unbreakable so then I could then make Skellys run. Funny, I'll fix that one. But the crumble IS NOT part of the Unbreakable. Slayers are unbreakable too, good god, I better fix that.

Now I have to question, why is that a bad Idea?
