Been on hiatus from WH for a while; busy season at work and all. I’m finally back and ready to capture some slaves for Hashut!!!
I haven’t played my first game with CD’s yet, just trying to make the perfect all comers list before I start the massive Forgeworld investment.
Ok let’s do this.

I’m planning on hanging back and castling like a total douche bag. I play in a group of cheese monsters and they will expect nothing less. Castellan and Prophet will stick with the IG while Prophet hurls death at whatever is in range. Daemonsmith will hang with glaives and provide re-rolls and def for the machines.
I opted against magma cannons because I just think that shriekers are much more versatile… Only exception would be ogres which I’m still formulating a strat for…
Any blatant weaknesses here that I should be aware of? If you suggest any changes please also include what to swap out for it.
this list sounds nice, my advice is to change a couple of things:
- charmed shield to the daemonsmith (his work will be the babysitting of the war machines) and enchanted shield to the prophet
-I would get rid of the 10 fireglaives (quite useless in a small unit like this) and I would give great weapons to the other unit… and the champion of course

BABIS
@BABIS:
Hiya!!!!!!
Thanks a bunch for the reply. I essentially just put the charmed on the General to protect from miscasts. Maybe the 2+ AS is better on him though.
Great weapons sounds great! I just thought it would be nice to have another unit for flanking whoever is engaging the main block and for some extra shooting, And of course to protect the DS.
I’ll stronly disagree with BABIS about the small Fireglaive unit. I almost always run a unit of 12, and while they often have a minimal impact, they have played a huge role in a number of games for me.
