Wish I could - but health won’t allow it, this year. Sounds to be a great show, again this year - and so many miniatures I would like to see/feel and maybe even picking up and lots of people would fancy meeting. Next year, perhaps :-/
Baggronor:
I’ll be there with a stall, losing money but having fun.
Might be able to pick one up for ya, if I can send my minion on a shopping trip. I’m sure I’ll be visiting the WF stand…
MartyF:
I’m also going. I’m not sure how many they will let me pick up (never bought anything from them) but I can try and get a few for members here.
I did read somewhere else that they don’t let you buy too many on the day, instead you must give them an address to post to. Not sure if they then charge postage on top of this.
Anyone else been that could shed some light on this?

Hobgoblinbt:
I went to Salute and got my Chaos Dwarf limited edition figure from Forgeworld at a hefty £9.20 after a 30 minute wait. There was big demand for the figures and a real enthusiasm for Chaos Dwarfs in the crowd of customers waiting to be served. How many end up on e-bay remains to be seen.
Later in the day I went back to the Forge World stand and was able to speak to one of the guys from the Forge World stand who was very enthusiastic about the upcoming Chaos Dwarf army. Forge World were originally going to only do a siege train, but after Games day Germany, due to the immense amount of lobbying about Chaos Dwarfs they changed their minds and the developing Chaos Dwarf army is the result.
On show at Salute were the siege mortar (earthshaker) that has been seen before and the chaos dwarf infantry with hand wreapons. These are bulkier than those modelled by Titan Wargames but otherwise simailar in style, in particular the scale armour. I enquired about other Chaos Dwarf troops and the guy kindly went to a GW figure transport case took out a block of 4 of the new hybrid handgun/halberd weapon figures for me to examine up close. This new weapon is a different weapon to the blunderbus and should have different rules.
Releases should start in may. The rank and file figures will be sold in units of 10, and a separate command group of perhaps 5 figures will be sold separately.
There will also be Hobgoblins, but that are some way off.
On the subject of the helmets and the enslaved Chaos Dwarfs, the new Chaos Dwarfs represent one city/Ziggurat that was besieged and captured by Chaos. These Chaos Dwarfs were then forced to join the Chaos invasion and quest to besiege and take an Empire city, and provide a siege train. The land train is the result, being a revamp of the old favourites such as the siege mortar (Earthshaker) and death rocket as well as new war machines such as steam cannons. The Forge World guy also pointed out that the face covering helmet is the look of the chaos dwarfs from this particular city/tower, not necessarily all chaos dwarfs, so there is still a place for big hats and masks.
I was impressed by the amount of enthusiasm displayed for Chaos Dwarfs from Forge World staff and from the customers at the forge world stand and many said that they were going to get some.
