Currently i am running 1k point armies to get a real feel for the game and cd’s again. I am considering something like this:
CD Hero - armor of the furnace
CD Sorceror x2
1 unit (15) CD warriors with hand weapon and sheilds - full command
1 unit (15) CD warriors with great weapons - full command
1 unit (10) hobgobs on wolves - probably with bows - champion
2 hobgob bolt throwers
1 earthshaker
I could drop the 1 of the sorcerors pretty simply, i just have an affinity for casters.
does this seem like an okay start for a chaos dwarf revival? or would a more traditional approach serve Hashut better?

Drop the earthshaker it will scatter more then it hits take ten orcs instead. I would say drop the musicians on the warrior units but I think musicians aren’t worth 10 points, with any left over points get maybe a sword of might or battle for your hero.
Border Reiver:
Change the Hobgoblin champion to a musician - the +1 bonus when rallying is invaluable to the hobgoblins.
If you have the points, consider giving your hero a great weapon. The S bonus makes it easy to hurt the other guy, and given our movement rate, we’relikely going to be charged and going last anyways.
The same principle applies to the Warriors with GWs. they shoudl ahve shields to give you options in HTH. If the enemy is likely to get through your armour, consider going to Hand weapon and shield for the added AS.
