Well, I saw Dino’s thread about his fantasy world and decided to post my own work of my own fantasy world. I hope this isn’t viewed as copying him, as I just wanted to post. Perhaps Dino and I can help each other.
RACES and FACTIONS
Blue Bulgarans: Basically dwarfs that were once giants. However, the gods caused a plague on them due to there many wars and attempting to conquer all Aragothia. These were the good ones in the Bulgaran Civil War however. But they are now short too. Very much like the Spartans of Greece.
Blood Bulgarans: Evil barbarian dwarfs that like the Blue Bulgarans were once giants. However they attempted to conquer all of Aragothia and would’ve succeeded to if it wasn’t for the gods intervening and making them short.
House of Entla: These are wood elves who live in the deep woods. They are very neutral and tend to just protect there woods and avoid all possible conflict.
House of Keldar: These are the brave warrior elves from massive stone cities. They are considered to be short tempered and heroic by most elves. Think knights, but elves, they are few and most are dead.
House of Altara: Sea Elves, they live on floating castles that patrol the seas. However there is a settlement by the coast. They like the wood elves of Entla do not like humans do to there destruction of the enviroment. They live in castles with the draconians.
House of Dagralak: Gray elves who live deep underground. They are pale skinned and much like dark elves, however nicer.
House of Caldar: These are the holy elves of Solara who use light magic. Highly relegious and highly magical.
Vulcarri: The remainder of the true Vulcarri, they are Angel Elves. Elves with wings and they are immortal.
Lorts: Blue-skinned, human-like creatures that are small in number. They are far stronger than most races and usually eight feet tall.
Horgils: Orange-skinned, human-like creatures that are high in number.
Azarans: Spiders with human intelligence and a human half. They are a small population, most died in the First War.
Humans: The highest population in Aragothia and the only one that covers all four continents in a signifigant number to rule. They are now divided into there petty kingdoms.
Draconians: Sea Dragonmen, they are like mermaids, but men that are dragons. There is a massive kingdom of them that live underwater in there cities, they are ruled by huge Sea Dragons.
WARS
Okay while I don’t feel like typing out the small background for my world there is a list of wars that should help define it.
God Wars: These are the wars between the good gods of Eldee with there Vulcarri servants against the demon gods of Balkar and there hordes of demons and undead. Not even the gods know how long it lasted, all that is known is that it sparked the creation of Aragothia and that the Balkar Gods lost.
Demon Wars: Aragothia was created after the God Wars and populated by thousands of Vulcarri and there elven children. They lived in an eternal forest, however the ground spewed forth fire demons that came and burnt the entire forest down. The elves and Vulcarri were broken and degenerated into the 6 houses of elves.
Eventually after years of death and torment Theonen, the chief god of Eldee stepped in and created the Bulgarans. Massive warrior giants that slaughtered the demons and brought peace back to Aragothia.
The Great War: After several hundred years of peace the Bulgarans began to grow and divide amongst each other. Nearly half of the Bulgaran army went to the leadership of a brutal Bulgaran warlord and began to call themselves gods. They went on a crusade against the elf houses and destroyed the Light Elf city of Solara and decimated several wood elf settlements before being stopped at the monumental battle of Morgrat Mountain where the good Bulgarans came and battled them.
For a hundred days they threw stones at each other and clashed with the fury of the gods. Seeking to end the bloodshed Theonen of the Eldee Gods intervened and sent his son the warrior god Veldan to slaughter the evil, Blood Bulgarans. Instead of slaughtering the Blood Bulgarans Veldan was slain himself by the warlord of them.
Theonen came down and slaughtered nearly a quarter of both the Blue Bulgarans and the Blood Bulgarans before cursing them. They degenerated into small bearded midgets.
The War of the Mountains: The Blue Bulgarans went to the northern mountains, while the blood ones fled to the south. The Blue Bulgarans met a strange foe, the Horgils and Lorts. For a while the two had a loose agreement of who shared what and who own what. But the Horgils wanted more and attempted to storm the Bulgaran cities.
Dozens of mountains fell, but the Blue Bulgarans prevailed against such foes and were able to live on. However, the Horgils brought out two new allies. The Azaran Empire, a massive race of spider men who were intelligent and deadly. Next came the brutal Lorts. The Blue Bulgarans saw they were outnumbered and immediatley sent a messenger to the Blood Bulgarans to request for help, they could finally redeem themselves.
Instead the messenger was sent back in a bloodied heap. For several years the Blue Bulgarans continued to fight off wave after wave of Horgils and Lorts. Many died on both sides, however it was not until the Gray Elves along with the other five elf houses join on the Blue Bulgaran side did the war turn good for the dwarfs.
The Azarans were slaughtered and the Horgils fled to there deep holes of earth, deeper than even the gray elf territory. The Lorts dissapeared…
This war showed that any of the races could fall to war and all needed help. Because of this the Light Alliance was formed. Concerned of how a war could decimate there new world of Aragothia the Gods of Eldee created the humans, a fast breeding race that would help protect the new world and inhabit it.
