Welcome to the voting thread for the 16th Artisan’s modeling and painting competition!
Theme:
This competition has been wide open in manner of scope, theme and size. Entries were just to fall under Displaced Chaos Dwarfs - and that shows in all the brilliant entries we’ve received.
Prize
The very nice people at Dark Art Studios has been so kind to donate their new model Goretrek the Chaos Dwarf as a prize for the winner!
The miniature is limited to 100 castings, comes with a letter of authenticity - this price is marked 1 of 100.
A very big thank you to Byron Townshend and Dark Art Studios for providing this fine price!
How to vote:
Please submit 3 numbers as votes by sending a PM to the Staff account.
We had 8 entries this time, which means each entrant will receive 8 slaves once the winners have been announced.
Each (more or less) anonymous entry is numbered ranging from 1 to 8. There is no need to specify which one you think is 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Simply list the three that you like and we will do the rest.
In case of a tie:
If there are to entries tied for 1st place we will vote again. Another 1 week voting period will be set and all members are allowed to cast 1 vote on their favourite first place. The one with most votes will recieve gold, the second silver (and in case of a 3 gold tie, the last will get bronze). Silver and bronze will be awarded based on the initial votes or according to the results of a gold tie-breaker vote.
Voting will close at 11:59 PM Jan 20th, 2015 EST (Eastern Standard Timezone). Once the votes are tallied we will post the results.

Excuse but where is the theme "The theme for this Artisan's Contest is to create anything Chaos Dwarf-related that shows Chaos Dwarfs displaced from their usual setting." in Entry 6 and Entry 7? They are nice but I can't see the displaced factor.
Herby
6: I posing with a (not so big) big hat.
7: Is rocking a nice curly beard!
They live up to the theme very nicely. Check out the first post in the contest announcement.
Wonderful entries, folks! Well done. Nicodemus hit a silver vein with this idea. We should re-run this theme next year or so, and not around Christmas time since that will lower the participation. It’s an open enough theme that people can come up with completely different entries each time a displacement theme pops up.
Bloodbeard deserves a round of applause for quick handling of the voting thread. It’d have taken until next week for me to photo-edit all the entries with this hectic exams schedule.
:o damn! How can you be so fast! Voting is mostly some tough decision. I will probably think about it a bit longer.
Hey Entry 8 - Steampunk Iron Man with a spiky mace AND on a hexagonal base. Thereby he is jumping on the 9th Edition rumours train. At first I hadn't got the jokes but then it was crystal clear. Very nice.
postscript: I think I can guess the creator of every single entry this time.

My votes were in 4 hours ago :-).
The iron man is not yours, Herby. Would have bet on that ;).
Got a vote from me. The two others I keep secret:hat.

:o Now that you say that I just realized how much I may have divulged/peached.
With those statements you can easily scratch out the ones that are not mine and therefore it is not a long way till you catch mine. And it should be anonymous.
Better I give no statements to entries anymore or I probably get a word of warning from the staff. :mask
Herby
Come on. Surely not. Some entries are not "anonymous" at all for people who know the army blogs and now I guessed yours also ;).
I got my votes in. I dont want to make any comments on my favourites as I think I know who it belongs to and want the entry to be judged on the entry and not the entree-er
