Okay I’ve started getting bits together for making Astragoth. For the body I’m using a metal meganob and found that he fits rather nicely on a 20mm base when mounted diagonally. So I was wondering if I should just go ahead and put him on that base and give him the “Ikit Claw pose” so that he doesn’t look like he’s walking in a different direction from the rest of the IG OR should I mount him on the 40mm base?

Also, is there anywhere I can get bighat CD heads that are GW legal or should I come up with something new?

you mean forgeworld heads? not that i know of.
You can eventaully try to see for the Russian Alternatives heads, but I talked with the people from the company and they told me they have no way to print only the heads, because bedoes and weapon are togheter in 1 same stamp, so they cant do things separetly.

it seems like i came here just for give negative answers.

you mean forgeworld heads? not that i know of.

I was going to use of of the spare Ironbreakers heads that I have but compared to an actual CD head they are tiny.

I'm leaning towards giving Astragoth some kind of mask to cover his face if I can't find any big hats.

I think your best bet is to buy a single old big hat miniature and chop off his head.

The current dwarf warriors front torso fit perfectly into a mega nob armor. So you could always give that warrior a homemade big hat.

A fried of mine build a dwarf miner lord on a mega nob. I’ll try to get a picture, it’s a great conversion.

I’m currently working on an Astrogoth Ghazkull Thraka conversion. There’s a picture somewhere in my blog.

Okay I’ve decided to do away with having his face exposed (for a good reason that I’ll get back to you all on later), so I don’t have to worry too much about giving him a hat.

Now for the base… Squeeze him onto a 20mm or mount him on the 40mm?

He can fit good on two 20mm put together.
