[Archive] Basing buildings, what to use?

Hey folks;

I have purchased a couple of fantasy buildings for use on my game table. Now I would like to base these fine buildings, but I do not know what material to use to do this. If anyone has any advice it would be well received. Thank you. :hat off

Basing as in sticking the terrain onto a base ? Or basing as what to stick them onto a base with ?

Basing I use upturned cake boards that the silver side goes down most ?

I use uhu glue to stick the building to the cake boards.

To hide any ugly gaps I use a combination of decorators caulk a caulk gun and a wet spatula to smooth this out applying flock with pva glue afterwards to the whole base adding a good coat of testers dull coat to seal the whole thing together and protect from damage.
