Today begins my journey into the Mountains of Mourn!
Well I just ordered my first Battle For Skull Pass Box, A tube of Green Stuff, and a boat load of RTV Rubber and Resin.
The way I see it after about 60 hours of work that gives me:
20 Chaos Dwarf Warriors
10 chaos Dwarfs with Blunderbuss
2 Chaos Dwarf Heroes
42 Hobgoblins
20 Hobgoblins with bows
10 Hobgoblin wolf riders
1 Earthshaker cannon
Not to shabby. I have planed out most of my conversions, not its just a matter of bringing my Green stuff skills up to par… I imagine that I will start the dwarfs first, I am going to go for the Big Hat look that I love, After that it will be the horrendous task of converting 72 goblins into hobgoblins… that were the beer comes in… After that I will scratch build a three wolves ( hate the GW models ) Create all my molds and finish assembling my warriors and wolf riders. Finally I will Convert my Earthshaker and Lords.
From that point I will decide if I feel like painting or if I want to create the fill in the rest of the army…
Man after typing all of that it feels way to ambitious, what have i gotten my self into? I need a beer…
that great that you have your ideas wow there a lot of hobo converting
yea i did not like the gw wolves so i cut there heads off and re tool then so that they have the same head but i cut all the stuff off behind the ears(the hump) and green stuff the new neck also redid there poses too ( as some of them jumping)
Should be awesome! I started mine with 6 Dwarf Warriors so far and my GS skills improve with each figure. I’m just not sure what my musician should look like.
I’m not looking forward to the Hobo conversions either. Heck, even the regular goblins I grew tired of painting!
