[Archive] British members - results day

AGPO:

To those of you collecting your A-level and BTEC results today, good luck and I hope you get the results you need.

Thommy H:

Of course, whatever results you get are meaningless because exams are getting easier. Just like how they shave an inch off the one-hundred metre sprint every year. True story.

Sojourn:

what are these?

This message was automatically appended because it was too short.

Thommy H:

A-levels are the final qualification before university, essentially. You do them between high school and college (high school finishes at 16 in Britain - you can choose to stay on and do A-levels).

It works differently in Scotland though, because they’re just like that.

Kera foehunter:

oh!!! 16 we call them Freshmen in high school!!

GRNDL:

@Sojourn: Grade 13, or thereabouts.
