Here is a starting list for topic/themes for the “Brush Slave” competition, which was started by Clam.
To add your topic, just reply to last comment in this tread, and add your contribution to the list.
Feel free to add comments as well, as adding topics.
Update: I have removed my interpretation of what the topics mean. This is in keeping with the comments mentioned below. This does make things better.
Open Category - Anything goes
The Pretty Boy - A Typical “Good Looking” Hero
Funny - Something that would make you laugh
Evil - Something evil
Fun - Something fun to paint
A face only a mother would love - Something ugly
Girl Power - A female mini, of any type
Team Work - More than one mini, probably working together somehow.
Magician - A mini who uses the art of magic
The Big Boss - A leader of some description.
That is Huge!! - Something big
Monochrome - Something painted mainly in shades of one colour
Oriental - Something from the orient
Modern - Anything modern
Futuristic - Anything from the future
Non GW - Anything that was not made by Citadel, Marauder or GW (yes, you can use GW paints to paint it).
Pink - Paint something pink, or at least use Pink on it.
My Ride - A transport of some kind (horse, tank, flying carpet …anything)
Space Marine - Paint one single marine
Ork/Orc - Paint one single Ork/Orc of your choice
GreenSkin - Painting any of the green skinned creatures
Human - Paint anything that is human
Hairy - Paint something with lots of hair/fur.
“That’s not a knife, this is a knife” - A knife wielding mini (it can include a sword)
WTF! - Something really strange
Rate my base - It is all about the base and not the mini

Sorry for the confusion, but I was under the impression that Brush slave gave a topic/subject line and then it was interpreted at will - resultingly, how comes there are the explanatory summaries next to them, lol?

You are probably correct. I think we will need to get some clarification on this. - Clam we need your help here.
Blue in VT:
Its my understanding that the "topic is Very loose…if you can justify it… its probably good to go…this is a casual “contest.” A few words by the person who determines the category (the winner of the previous months display) about what they think it means can be helpful but are in no way binding.
Lots of great ideas here folks…where were you all last month when I was having a hard time coming up with something fun??
