Marauding Mischief

Councel of Slavery

Blue in VT:

Though both shots here are crying out for better lighting you can tell that both are quality paint jobs on classic CD figures. I really like the banner in the first team.

Bassman:

Paint jobs seem to be fine but, as said, please better pictures

Marauding Mischief

Really nice old figures. A favourite here on this site, so these should score votes, simply based on what they are. The problem is that the light source was behind the mins, and thus casting shadows forward. This also put the entire front of each of these figures in the dark. Which was hard to see many details. The bases look a little simple, but that could be a ?osnow? effect, it is really hard to tell. The colour choices and shading do look good, but I would have liked to see a little more detail on these lovely old minis.

Councel of Slavery

Another batch of nice old figures (well at least 2 of them). A favourite here on this site, so these should score votes, simply based on what they are. The thing that lets this entry down, is the dark photo. It looks like a nice colour scheme but it was really hard to tell, with the dark photo. I initially missed that there was anything painted on that banner, I thought it was just a plain blue banner. Great choice of minis, I just would have liked to see more of them.

Borador:

Thanks for the photography advice G.2! Will rephotograph them before I’ll put them up in my blog (:

I will probably do the same in the weekend, so I can photograph them with full day light, instead of in the morning before my work when it was a bit to dark.

vulcanologist:

I agree…too dark but from what I can see they look good!

Here is a tutorial on taking photos of your miniatures. If you don’t read it all, read at least the information on the lighting.

thanks for the link, I found two thinks I did wrong. I used the wrong setting on the camera (didn't use the macro setting) and the lighting wasn't correct.

Borador:

I think that the setting I used was “supermacro”, might have to use normal macro instead. And lighting coming from the back, blatantly :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Cheers for the link G.2!

Blue in VT:

WOW…this one is still tied up…its neck and neck boys!

Blue

Borador:

Haha it is indeed!
