Plastic MkIII, Custodes and Sisters of Silence confirmed.

:o

TheHoodedMan:

It is an awesome box again with 2 nice characters added (which will be on ebay for a bargain price after box is out).

30 MkIII Marines are very attractive but you get the MkIV plastic kit from GW for 30 EUR (10 models). The Terminators are great.

Custodes and Sisters are very nice but seem to be more special interest miniatures.

So it is quite a nice box (maybe there is even a nice board game in it;)) but it seems to me not a so generic bargain like the calth box which had the contemptor in it.

And lots of people have bought one or more Calth boxes and filled up their Marine ranks already.

It would be interesting what weapon options (and in what number) are in the box.

Is this mentioned anywhere?

Cheers

Dînadan:

I think you’d have no trouble selling/trading the less generic elements, so it’s not too bad. Assuming the MkIII will be ,30 for ten like the MkIV, as will the five termies, then that comes to ,120, so for ,5 you’re getting two characters, five Custodes, five Sisters and all the board game stuff, and I think you’d be able to sell all those for more than ,5 if you didn’t want them.

Also, I think it’s intended for you to use to expand your army you made from B@C rather than be instead of B@C. Most notable is the ad calls the MkIII marines ‘Legion Veterans’, while the MkIV were just regular marines I believe, implying that the B@C marines are intended for your rank and file Tactical squads while these are your Veteran squads.

That is probably right (didn`t say it was a bad deal, just read my post :cheers). It would also be nice if one could build funcitioning support squads out of the two boxes. Will be interesting to see what weapons are actually included.

Pyro Stick:

Anyone know when this is coming out? I’m considering getting it to game with a friend I’ll be visiting in November but Kingdom Death are having their next kickstarter then as well.

Grimstonefire:

This game has introduced something which I don’t believe we’ve ever seen in a GW game before, i think it’s a fantastic concept.

Basically rather than include magnus and leman russ in the box, they have rules to represent this titanic clash “off camera”.

Which could be used to represent any number of characters, in any theatre of war. Or even the gods themselves dueling!!

Which for me was an intriguing thought.

Grimstonefire:

Thousand Sons is probably my favourite book, so I am very tempted to pick up this box…
