I want a marauder mage, but not desperately enough to pay over £50 for one. Is there any way to save money on these, or is eBay the only way to go?

Also, realistically what are the chances that all these rare old miniatures that are always available on eBay are all recasts anyway? It seems a bit suspicious that the same sellers have the same stock year after year.

Threadbare:

Patience and luck are the only ways to go about getting any thing on ebay for a good price. They do show up for reasonable prices, you just have to wait it out.

Trading on forums has also helped me fill some of the gaps in my collection and prices are always better than ebay.

The problem with the mage, and with every other chaos dwarf model, is that shops/the wrong people buy them, strip them and relist them for buy it nows at double the price. They have all the supply but only a fraction of the demand can afford it, which is good enough for them. I dont think i ever spent over £25 on a MM90 mage and i have 4. Its expensive because everyone thinks its rare but i personally think the crossbowman is rarer but that goes for pennies.

Also if people were recasting them i think they would be on ebay a lot more often. Any recasts out there are probably so old that they might as well count as originals anyway lol.

Got it ! £22 including postage. Pretty happy with that although probably the most expensive single miniature I’ve ever bought. Then again its a bargain compared to a ffg x wing imperial shuttle.
