It looks like the top CD list placed 32nd played by Chris Powell. Pretty much middle of the pack.
Three other CD lists placed in the 60’s.

Method:
Hey guys.
Im the founder of the USA Masters, and played my beloved CHDs there this year. I finished 63rd, losing 4 games (as many as all last year I did to qualify)
In short, I can sum my losses up easy.
Vs Skaven round one. I was up 600, then bottom of 6, dreaded 13th my BB unit with 21 models. …rolled 21.
VS Skink Cloud. lost the death shrieker to a deployment error, but losing flames to a turn one miscast (reducing me to a lvl 2 mage) didn’t help. Couldn’t control the movement of the skinks without artillery or magic. narrow lost. (
Other two losses I played our worse match up (aside from empire banishment and 1+spam) The Trip lord/hero str 6+ WOC character armies on disk. (who also had 2+ chimera with them. With all characters having 1+ and 3++ AND getting first turn, basically I got a turn of shooting before my bunker was triple charged on the board edge. (and LOS blocking terrain)
Worse possible matches those two were, with about 30+ infantry armies with single monsters at the event.
My last two matches were against Brets who aren’t ideal either, high movement, and high armor. but I beat those two.
Just a match up deal more then anything. literally games were decided on the first dice roll. kinda sucked.

P.S for what it is worth, Jacob (the winner) ran into the infantry/traditional armies. NO WOC or DOC flying 50% lord spam. And his army could deal with that. I think looking at his list, the characters fly over his multitude of blockers, and hose 40 mm bases clip his TG unit and begin the slaughter.
As he is in my region and drinks with us at the hotel room, I can tell you that is exactly what happened.

Thanks for the very nice rundown of your matches. Roll off to get the opponnents will always be a very big deal in tournaments like this. I still think it’s cool a Khemri army got to win something, would have been happy to see a Beastman army do the same.

My list was absolute garbage for this type of event.
I drew dwarf - WoC - Dwarf - Bret - o and g and Bret
Our book is a little out gunned compared to the new ones. Although a better list would of fared me much better. If we are still around in 9th I will be the evil stunts at the next masters as well
I agree with Jerry. Match ups matter but that’s also a sign we are a weaker book.
