Not sure how many of you still pick up white dwarf, since it’s not really a hobby magazine and more of an advertisement, but i was in Games Workshop today, in London, and told one of the assistants that i collect Chaos Dwarfs, and he showed me the featured army!
The force was featured in the USA Armies on Parade section, and features converted Dwarf style warriors and blunderbusses, as well as a unit of FW Infernal Guard, and a daemon engine converted using the Defiler set.
It’s a very impressive force, that’s expertly painted. The owner is called Abe Peterka. I was wondering if he is a member of this site!
But glad to see some Chaos Dwarf attention in White Dwarf! Perhaps with FW’s successes on the CD-front, Games Workshop are becoming more comfortable with the idea of slowly bringing them back into the mainstream collection of armies?
I think its wonderful to see a Cjaos Dwarf army in WD. Nice because CD are a forgeworld thing and they been kept of the primary sourch for warhammer in so many years. I went many years without knowing the existence of FW.
Secondly it’s nice to see a converted army i WD, and an army using so many old parts as this one. Because WD is primarely showing off and praisong the “awesome, fantastic, innovative” stuff like the sucky Dark Elves.
And finally it’s a nice little army he made. Well painted and converted. A good mix of FW infernal guard and home made stuff.
…Are you talking about this one? That guy knows this site very well as he converted almost all his Dwarf using a lot of this forum lore.

To be fair, it’s possible to think up those conversion ideas without CDOs help. They look a lot like mine, and I came up with my conversion ideas long before finding CDO. Found while I was looking for a green stuff toturial for beards.
I have a feeling (not, I will not sing that song…) that GW is beginning to show their customers things of FW. Maybe, little by little, they want to make both things together.
Nice army. Back in 2004 or somesuch there was a Death Guard army featured which mentioned a forum or other site for it. It could happen again, but it’s actually better for GW to not advertise this forum due to its competitors.

But, yes, WD has started to showcase both FW and Black Library more then was the case before. Both mentioned branches are quite succesful and growing.
It’s awesome to see a Chaos Dwarf army in the pages of a White Dwarf. Did anyone also notice that this was the only army to get a 2 page spread?
On a compleatly related note…I finally figured out where you guys get the parts for that Chaos inspired bullet shaped hat…maurader drum outers glued together! How did I miss that?
