Zanko:

Very impressive! :hat off

Some pics with the whole army on it would be cool!

I like your dark colour scheme! IMO only the banners look much too bright! The trays are also painted very well! :cheers

The idea with the different altitude of the trays is worth coping!

           :hashut

Grimstonefire:

How many points is this? We can give you a medal.

I like how you’ve given them loads of variety in the beard colours.

cornixt:

Very nice, CDs with brown beards are not too common either.

Did you do some editing of the banners? Some of them look slightly different to the regular ones.

Igneous Bull:

Hello Guys

Thank you very much for your nice comments, I did honestly not expected this.

My normal dwarf army is from Karak Ghirn, so a lot of Chainmail and Dark Angels Green. To distiguish, I have chosen a basic brass for the armor, whic is also discribed in the original army book, The original red is absolutely not my thing.

But like the normal dwarfs, variaty has to come with the beards to, especially with such a limited number of different model in the chaos dwarfs army.

The banners are looking in reality much darker and matching better to the models. Maybe because it is paper, the reflecting the flash much more. Some of the banners have been modified a little bit in phtoshop, this is true

The idea with the different height of the blunderbusses base is actual from www.chaos-dwarfs.com., from Snotlings Chaos Dwarf Army.

The point sonly for the chaos dwarfs are 3260 points. There is no magical stuff or other equipment included, but each  unit has full commando. If I count all the Hobgoblins in, it would be 4160 points.

Please find below some pictures of the whole army, but not in good quality. They have been done after painting. But you see on this picturesm the great taurus has still white horn. Because this looked to much like a Spanich bull, the horns have been changed to the now fire look like in the first picture on top.

I cannot ,ake better pictures in the moment, because the models are already in my home in Germany, but I stay still some months in Japan for businees. Only the Hobgoblins are here in Japan for painting. I hope I can upload them too in soon.

Enjoy the pictures.

Grimstonefire:

I have given you the 2000pt medal, once the hobgoblins are up we can top it up to the gold.

What do you use the crossbowmen as? Regiments of Renown?

GRNDL:

This is an amazing looking army, grats on all the excellent paint jobs! What colours did you use for the deep cherrywood colour hats, they look really nice.

m3lvin:

wow, this is a really cool looking army!

I like the massive movement trays, It makes the dwarfs look really intimidating.

The glowing effect on the great taurus wings and belly are also a very nice touch.

I noticed his horns are white on the last pics, just like the Lammasu, but on the first pics they’re flame coloured. Which is the final verision?

Anyways, very good work, hats off! :hat off

tjub:

Awesome looking army! The groupshot is really impressive…

Loki:

Awesome army Igneous Bull what a great way to join the site by posting up a 2000 Point + army of big hats

Igneous Bull:

Hey Guys

Thank you very much again for your good feedback on my chaos dwarfs.

I will try to answer all your questions.

a) Yes, the other models on the group pictures dows or war:

- Marksmen of Miragliano

- Tilean Crossbow men from 4th Edition Empire

- Lumpin Croop Fighting Cocks

- Halfling Archers from 4th Edition Empire

I am maybe insane, but I have 8 races (Bretonnia, Chaos Dwarfs, Dogs of War, Dwarfs, Empire, High Elves, Kislev and Wood elves) + 2 additional armies (Slayer of Karak Kadrin and Middenland). But only the Dwarfs, the Dogs of War and the Chaos Dwarfs are painted,

I am also planning a complete table of the plain of Zharr, with a dark and rocky plain with rivers of lava. But this project will take some time.

b) The dark red is actually a mix of some colors from red and brown, including scab red, terracotta, vermin brown and blood red

c) The flame horns are the final version. Becuase the normal ones looked to much like a spanish bull, it has been changed again.

d) Collecting these army took me one year intensive “ebaying”, starting from spring 2006. But the result is awarding.

The greenskins will come in a few weeks, so please have some patience.

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Oh my a rare sight indeed to have so many oldschool bighat models in one army and all painted to such a nifty standard. It must be very boring in Japan these days to allow such a great painting feat. In any case, my hat goes off to you! :hat off

Stubbs:

WOW ! your paiting and basing is very cool! dammmn that´s a nice army you got there  how in god’s name did u get so many 6th edition models?

Skink:

Ehm… First of all compliments for your army, nice painjobs, please post the hobbos soon.

I was wondering: we don’t have any “old school army” in the showcase section… And this is indeed a well painted bunch of miniatures. Wouldn’t make sense to add them to the showcase???

Kera foehunter:

What a nice army you have !! i love the golden beard guys and the tall hats

Sargoth The Enslaver:

Holy crap man!!! Need more CDs???:o:o Well done on them all! Me myself, I like the hero on foot

Sargoth:)

black hammer:

The dark color sceme is really cool. I love how it contrasts with the lava bases. you’ve also pulled off the brown beards really well.

Igneous Bull:

Hello Guys

Thank you again very much for all the good feedback to my army. Maybe I have reached my goal to create a good looking Chaos Dwarf Army.

As promised, the Greenskins are ready which I would like to share with you. Please enjoy. More stuff can be found on my club´s warhammer webpage www.axesofaix.de, but sorry, all in German.

Skink:

Marvelous! Love all these hobgoblins!!! How many points is this horde worth??? It’s a huge army!!!

As I already said these models are well painted. We don’t have any old school army in the gallery section (on the main site)… I think that these minis (reshooted on a white background) can easily be added between the showcase galleries.

nitroglysarine:

those are pretty funky!
