I may do a mix, just depends how I feel at the time.I’m not a fan of the Big Hat dwarves although I had a nice army waay back when.I prefer the armoured turtle look of the recent output of CD minis.The FW CD’s have a smaller curled beard compared to the Big Hat ones and to me it looks comic book like(the big curled beards).

I sculpt my Chaos Dwarf conversions with corkscrew beards (which background-wise are achieved by curling irons) but will use the floating, shaggy beard style for the dishonoured Dwarfs of the Infernal Guard and possibly also for some planned Chaos Pantheonist Dwarfs, an outcast society worshipping the wider Chaos pantheon, viewing Hashut as but a part of the greater whole, and where several god-specific cults exist.
