I finally got the post together on the blog of our team army in Sunday’s team tournament! Lots of pictures!
I knew going in that we would get hammered by the souped up armies which might be there, and you definitely had some of those! Lots of demons and ogres mixed in with stuff. Ours was mostly for the story, obviously
We almost won our first game, but the 12 man ogre unit that was less than an inch from running off the board rallied, and then things went downhill from there. I could not make any restrain rolls with the centaurs to run those ogres off the board once and for all.
The second game was a wipeout, with demons and WOC. No hope there.
Our third game we wiped out Domus and Tom in 4 turns. All the garbage rolls of the weekend were replaced by nothying but fives and sixes!
If you guys don’t mind, I will just include a link to the blog, since there are over 20 images!
If you check out some of the “Road to Adepticon 2012” threads, you will find at least 2 or three on the making of the bull centaurs. I will still be doing the final bit of painting on them, now that I no longer have to match Marty’s figs.
We bought some plastic cows that would be roughly dragon ogre sized. I chopped off the heads, and put on the ogre torsos. I had to modify the wepaons quite a bit to make them look more like sabres. I had to transfer a few right handed weapons onto left hands, since most ogres don’t have a left handed weapin.
Apoxy sculpt was used for the coats and hats, saddle blankets and bedrolls.
Great report, but would have like to see a few shots from the other side of the table. Most pictures shows them from their back, but am pretty sure they look much more interesting/scaring from the front
