Hi All,
I’m getting ready for a 2,400 pt battle against another CD player awesome.
Anyway I’m after advice on how best to build up my Sorcerer-Prophet on a Bale Tuarus.

I always play him like this:
Sorcerer-Prophet, lvl4, Bale Taurus, Potion of Speed, Talisman of Preservation, Charmed Shield, Power Stone, Lore of Death
With 2400Pts. (and a 600Pts.-cap for lords) I either use the Power Stone or the Dispel Scroll (if I dont have another sorcerer for the Scroll or if I want to use the Chalice - I cut the Potion of Speed for the 600Pts. limit)… In 2500Pts. games I prefer the Power Scroll on him.
Nothing beats a flying Death-mage that can handle himself in CC.
4+ Ward Save is needed, as is the Charmed Shield to dodge the first Cannonball etc. Potion of Speed is needed for the one time you have to cast the Purple Sun with a lot of dice so at least your Prophet won’t dive in in case of a missfire…

I’ll offer you the alternative of level 3, mask of the furnace, and the dawnstone. This makes him 2+ re-rollable, and 4++. Very survivable, which you’ll want as your general will become a magnet for all manner of nasty shooting and magic.

Lvl4, 4++ Talisman, Charmed Shield, Chalice, Blood of Hashut… GREAT Taurus.
Great Taurus has pretty much the same damage output, is a little bit less survival to high strengh attacks but as it is smaller and easy to hide, I’d say twice as survivable to cannon balls, and due to the -1 to wound that hasn’t been updated yet for the great taurus, he is immune to S3 attacks;)
2+/4++, Immunity to first cannon ball for the prophet, chalice brings last spell through almost with guarantee 
Heavygear:
Lvl4, 4++ Talisman, Charmed Shield, Chalice, Blood of Hashut.. GREAT Taurus.For thos who play ETC, it dings you less for the Great Taurus, too.
