Hey Guys. I have my Great Taurus well underway, but I have no idea what model to use to represent the rider. I want him to have a polearm/spear, a small backbanner (for the red bull logo: Red Bull Gives You Wings!), and a small hat. Does anyone know which model would be best suited for converting? Needless to say, there aren’t many dwarf models made to ride a mount.

I think you could use the Ironbreakers champion model. He’s got a small hat, the beard swap is easy, he has his weapon arm removed and it’s easy to replace the weapon, has room on his back for a banner, just chop off his feet and return them to the “toes forward” position and it should work. Or have him surfing on it, holding the reigns.

I think Chaos Dwarfs would ride their steeds either on throne-like saddles or in the same way that the wood elf lord rides the great stag. If you go for the latter, then any dynamic model that can be converted to hold chains is an option. If yu go fo the first idea however, then Thorgrim is an idea, either old or new (I’d go for new)

I’d probably go with a plastic dwarf as basis. It will be easiest to convert the legs into some sort of riding position.
