[Archive] Converting ork artillary

Joshmohr:

Hey all- I don’t think that i want to spend twenty USD on ork artillery, but i could use some for my army… Dose anyone have some simple ideas on how to convert some? Thanks!

Leon Brachwurster:

For 40k or WFB?

Thorne:

If for 40K wouldnt these work Scotia grendle dwarf organ guns there pretty darn cheap and they do look nice, I have several for my vannila dwarf army and they would suit orcs painted rigth, Not only that they are £6.99 or $10.65 for 3 resin models they look pretty darn cool. Even with shipping to the states its got to be cheeper than buying one from GW.

snowblizz:

Plasticard and plastic tubing comes to my mind immediately.

The biggest problem is to find wheels I’d say.

Which of the pieces are we talking about, the Kannon and Lobba are pretty straightforward. A Zaapgun is trickier.

Joshmohr:

40k, but great find, Thorne! Do they ship to the US?

Thorne:

Shipping is worked out according to the total weight of your order. A handling charge of £2 of $2.98 is included in the postage costs, Just checking on the USA airmail prices it would add up to about £9.45 or $14.09. A little more expensive then working out the currency conversion from Gamesworkshops single model but remember your not getting one model you are getting 3. You see they also got some nice fitting models for Possible ork buggie for $8.93

Joshmohr:

Regardless, I think ill order a few of those organ guns!! thanks!

Captain Crayon:

Ebay!

I built 4 spear chukkas and a rock lobber out of bits and pieces i bought off ebay.

total cost was about 20 Australian dollars.

Bought a stack of random fantasy & 40k goblen crew, bits of an old gob-lobber and random bolt thrower bits.

they look terribly ramshackle, but it worked for me…
